Lo Pagan on the Mar Menor (lesser sea) is best known for its therapeutic mud bath sand lovely beaches.10 mins away. There are numerous golf courses nearby. San Javier (Murcia) airport 15 mins drive, 50 mins from Alicante airport on the AP7 motorway.

Pilar de la Horadada

The village is very friendly surrounded by orange and lemon groves, with magnificent open air municipal pool tennis courts,etc There are 3 doctors surgeries and 2 chemists all English/German speaking, a UK supermarket plus lots of fantastic restaurants, some have live music, quiz nights etc.

Lively but without being too noisy. Regular bus service to Pilar town and Beach, with connections to Murcia, Granada and many more. Pilar de la Horadada is a bustling Spanish town, with many bars, restaurants, shopping.

Walking distance of Pinar de Campoverde is a well known area of natural beauty called the Rio Seca ('Dry River'), this is an excellent place to take a stroll and enjoy the many species of flora and fauna, there are a number of unusual species to enjoy including some wild orchids and some rare varieties of dwarf palm.

Pinar de Campoverde is a tranquil place and it is clear to see why many British people have chosen to make it their home, living amongst the pine forests in a quiet hillside location and enjoying picturesque views and a lovely Mediterranean climate with in excess of three hundred sunny days every year, exceptionally low rainfall and extremely mild, sunny winters. Away from the hustle and bustle of the nearby coastal resorts but close enough to get to and enjoy their facilities when you wish.

Pinar de Campoverde can be reached by taking the CV-925 from the N332 coastal road. The AP-7 motorway is near by and you need to leave at junctions 770 (Pilar de la Horadada) or 774 (San Pedro del Pinatar). 6 minutes walk to the UK supermarket, bars, restaurants.

10 minutes walk to the tennis courts and the rio seco nature reserve. 5 minutes drive to the brand new golf course "Lo Romero" 10 minutes drive to the Mediterranean beaches (miles of white sandy beaches) with beach bars and children's play areas. The perfect area for all ages.

"Perfect size for our party of 12"

We have been home for a week now and still all wishig we were back at the villa! 12 of us in the party rangeing from age 2 up to 45. The villa was the perfect size for us as we all had our own space, my 23 year old son and his girl friend along with 2 more of his friends stayed in the 2 bed appartment that was situated under the main house which worked perfectly for us all. The pool and patio area at the front of the house was large enough for us all to have plenty of space (could have had a couple more sun lounges though) the BBQ was also in this area, however we would cook the food out there in the evenings but then carry through the villa to the back area where there was a large outdoor area that caught the last of the sun and had table areas large enough for us all to sit together and chat in the evenings. The villa is in a lovely area and very close to the local villiage where there is a strip with everything you will need, a chinese,indian,italian restaurants, also an irish bar called the rusty nail that did a cracking breakfast! further afield there is an english restaurant called tall trees that is also very nice (my husband and i stayed in the same area last year and ate at tall trees a couple of times then also. This time the whole party of 12 of us went for sunday lunch, the food is lovely and very reasonably priced. You do need a car when staying at the villa as the local supermarket is about 20 mins drive away but you can get most everything you want from there. The beach is just a little further on from the supermarket.
if i had a negative to say about the villa it would be that there is not enough serving dishes/plates/pans for a party our size, there was however plenty of cutlery and crockery.
unfortunately the hairdryer had been removed from the villa before we arrived but once we discovered this i called the agent and she did bring a replacement for us a couple of days later. There is also a basement apartment to the villa that has a long term let retired couple living there, they are a lovely couple but we had to be aware of the noise levels which can sometimes be hard with a party of our size, not that we are a rowdy group but we are on holiday and there to enjoy our stay.
A couple of the men in the party had to do a bit of work while we were there and the fact the villa had free wifi was an added bonus!
The pool was lovely and clean and the filter came on at regular intervals keeping it that way.
My communication with Christine the owner of the villa was excellent and if i ever emailed her leading up to the holiday with any questions she would always send a prompt respnse.
Christine contacted me within a couple of days of returning home for my details so she could return my security deposit, which was returned straight away.
All in all we had a lovely time and would not hesitate to return to the villa and would recommend it to anyone thinking of going

"I have rented several villa,s throughout the costa blanca area this one has got to be in my top 3"

The area of campoverde in which villa Sol is situated is not over crowded with modern villa,s all crammed together, the properties are all uniquely designed and adds an interesting talking point whilst walking down to the village centre, which is lined with mouthwatering restaurants offering a variety of menus .As one gazes over the balcony at the west end of the villa ,a spectacular view of la manga can be seen in the distance and immediatley below a green valley spreads out in front of you . The private pool is a luxury in itself , The interior of villa sol is spacious and comfy with all the appliances one requires . I would return in june 2012 but sadly the villa is booked

"could have been better"

large house but not well enough equipped for 14 people. The furniture had seen better days and the villa generally could have done with being cleaned to a higher standard. The advert states fans in all rooms however this was inacurate and we had to purchase a fan for one of the bedrooms. The sofa beds were inadequate and generally of a poor standard. the villa would have been fine for a group of 10 but anymore and it is over crowded. The price of the villa for early July was very reasonable however had i been staying later in the summer i would not have been happy with the standard of furnishings or cleanliness of the villa. We even had to purchase new barbeque grills as the ones that were there had not been cleaned in many months.The TV also did not work properly, there was generally a lack of any information for any of the electronic equipment and the pool was out of action for nearly 2 days due to the filters not working. The fridge in the lower apartment did not work properly and the fridge in the main villa was not in good condition. There was also other occupants in the lower part of the villa that we were not told about, we had booked the villa exculsively and were irritated to find that this was not the case, these occupants continually left the side gate open which was a security risk for the young chldren in the group. Good if looking for a cheap and basic villa but not good for the price of £1000 per week.

We have taken notice of your comments and have decided to change the wording to a maximum of 12 people, although lots of parties of 14 have found the accommodation adequate. The pool was out of use for a day as suncream had blocked the filters. A shower is available by the poolside and our guests are asked to use this to avoid this problem. The pool is maintained by a professional and was sorted immediately. The gate at the side of the property now has a secure lock and I have blocked off access to the one bed apartment located at the rear of the property. This in no way affects the 5 bedroom advertised Villa. The cleaning is of a very high standard and is also inspected before each booking by my representative in Spain. As soon as we were aware of any problem with the fridge it was replaced with a new one. We deal with any problems or enquiries as soon as we are aware of them with my Spanish representative who all guests have mobile and land line numbers. I believe the property is good value for money and are sorry if you were disappointed.
