Home description

Lovely south facing exceptionally spacious apartment no stairs, children and well behaved pets welcome. The apartment has just been completely redecorated.
The bedrooms are comprised of one double, one twin, one with bunk beds, a double bed settee in the TV room which becomes completely private (this is the +1 bedroom) and a single daybed settee in the living room and in the storage room, all have brand new mattresses. A large utility room and a large full bathroom and a separate WC. We have a cot and a high chair. We supply linen and towels plus beach towels. You will find toilet paper and breakfast products to start you off.
The balcony is ideal for having a glass of wine and watching the village prepare for the evening after a long hot day on the beach or at the rock pools in the village. The apartment is all on one floor on the second floor of a building with just three apartments, there is a lovely view of the village from the balcony, including the children's park.
Next door to the bakery and just a few minutes walk from the village shop.
My husband runs a trendy coffee shop, with a full licence of course, almost next door to the apartment serving snacks, breakfast, sandwiches, and of course aperitifs, wine beer etc.
If you wish to come for a stress free holiday without a car we have a taxi service for €100 each way you can be collected from and returned to Nice airport and then use the bus service when you are here. You can rent a car at the airport and then use that to visit the area, the roads are tight but not too busy and I believe they drive carefully in our area - don't quote me - plenty of parking in Pigna.

Pigna Liguria the Italian Riviera- 45 mins Nice International airport for sale and rent Liguria -Pigna heaven nestling between Bordighera and Ventimiglia in the beautiful picturesque Nervia valley, 3 bedroomed apartment with bathroom and separate wc, large balcony overlooking the village with the sun all day, in the famous medieval village of Pigna, just 45 minutes from Nice International Airport (France)or 1.5 hours from Genova International Airport (Italy). The is apartment is on the little road leading into the main piazza, close to all amenities on the 2nd floor with no stairs in the apartment at all. Large kitchen, large living room, double bedrooms, large bathroom.

The apartment has a cooker, fridge freezer, washing machine, kettle, toaster, iron, ironing board, hair-dryer, cd player and colour TV (Italian only) and a multi region DVD player..

Sleeps 5 in 3 bedrooms but also has a double bed settee in the lounge and a single bed settee in the dining room so 8 is not a problem, well behaved pets welcome.

Ready to go back in time, relax, unwind, chill, leave the hustle and bustle behind and yet just 20 mins from the sea. The village has 3 village stores, 3 restaurants, 4 coffee bars, a pizzeria,a doctor's surgery, pharmacy, bank, Post Office all the amenities you could want on a small village scale. Rock pools are dotted around the village which make spectacular bathing holes in the endless hot summer.

The interest in the village has been phenomenal since it was featured on a UK BBC Holiday Home programme.

The village is a great place for a get away from it all holiday, for children it is paradise as they can run wild and free and thoroughly enjoy themselves, there is a huge football field and tennis courts, fishing in the river or bathing and of course just 20 minutes from the beach, true paradise.

Horse riding in the hills behind Pigna, long walks and of course the village has the Terme a 4 star Spa hotel with all the treatments and an outdoor pool which can be used by anyone daily.

You can also hire Quad bikes and explore the mountains with a guide as far as France!!

Take a plane to nice airport pick up a hire car point towards Genova Italy (Genes in French) on the motorway, 25 minutes you are in Italy exit the motorway at Ventimiglia and then turn left at the end of Ventimiglia and 20 minutes later you will arrive in Pigna.

If you prefer the village taxi can collect you at Nice airport for €100

How to get there

Fly to Nice via www.Easyjet.com and we are just 60 minutes from the airport
Take the motorway from the airport and head towards Genes (Genoa-Genova)
or take the airport bus to the station in Nice and take the train to Ventimiglia
or take a taxi from Ventimiglia to Pigna (20km 50euro)
We can arrange a taxi from the airport one way Euro100 return Euro200

You can also get the budget airline www.ryanair.com to Genova and it takes 1.5 hours to get here.

The balcony is long and reaches over the lounge and TV room, it is suitable to have breakfast on and great to people watch as it is over the only road going into the village square. The balcony is not suitable for parties!
There is a brand new tennis court, literally it has just been finished, a football field, two children's play areas - one visible from the apartment balcony - a 4star spa hotel where visitors can use the outdoor swimming pool. There is also a campsite 10 mins down the road in Isolabona, it has a big pool and you can go for the day, you can take food or buy what you need there, it's laid back and great fun for children.
Lots and lots of outdoor space for children to freely run around. There is a pizzeria in the village , a small trattoria for lovely traditional lunches made by Carla, a 3 star restaurant for a full meal, an icecream parlour and a music bar open from 5 to 2am for the teenagers amongst you.

Further details

I expect the apartment to be left tidy and all rubbish removed, actual cleaning is included in the rental charge.
A welcome pack of milk, jam, butter, Melba toast, coffee, toilet paper and a chilled bottle of wine to start you off on your Pigna experience, will be in the apartment at no extra cost. Salt, pepper and oil are in the apartment. Brits bring your PG tips as nothing compares over here.
You will have 2aset of linen per bed for a two week stay and two bath towels and two hand towels per person (if you feel you need more just ask), 4 tea-towels and also I provide bulky beach towels as these take up so much space in a suitcase.
There is a washing machine in the apartment feel free to wash you linen if necessary.

Conditions

The property is all on one floor once inside but there are two flights of stairs to negotiate so it would be up to your discretion for a wheelchair.
A Euro150 non refundable deposit is required to secure your holiday and the balance two month's before arrival depending on booking time.
