The charming little Villa Colombaia within a private park with a palm tree and huge pine trees is overlooking the tipical Tuscan villages Pieve and Camaiore from its lofty position.

2 terraces at different levels and a roof top terrace (360* view) are offering stunning views over the valley and up to the Tuscan Alps - called Alpi Apuane - .

The position is indeed remarkable:

Situated in a safe, secluded residential area of the village " Pieve di Camaiore" , - just in a walking distance of a 1/4 of a mile from the village center - tranquillity and privacy are guaranteed. In addition, only a few miles from your little private resort social and cultural life is thriving in places like Pietrasanta, Forte dei Marmi, Lucca and Viareggio. The distance to the beaches of Versilia Coast is about 8 miles or a 20 minutes drive.

Pietrasanta ( 4 mls) with its historical town center, narrow streets, the central Piazza, the dome, art galleries, bohemian lifestyle and lots of little bistrots and restaurants it's a must.

Forte dei Marmi (7 mls) is perfect for those who want to mingle with the rich, important and beautiful people and VIP's with lots of celebrities and made for label victims such as Gucci, Prada, Roberto Cavalli and all others.

Lucca ( 20 mls) is one of the most beautiful medieval cities of Italy and a center of cultural life.

Viareggio (5 mls) is the capital of Italian carnival and features a little harbour and a famous marina where Perrini Yachtts are tailored for the tycoons. Get your face green of envy... or taste instead fresh fish and seafood in lots of little restaurants.

And if you don't feel like going out, you can spend your days at home instead, relaxing either at the roof top terrace, reading books under shady trees in the park or sunbathing at the lower pool area.

The private pool is equipped with a shower, a gazebo, umbrellas, deckchairs and sunbeds. Size of pool: 12,00 m by 6,00m, depth: 1,50 m.

For hikers and mountain bikers there is a wide range of outdoor activities. You can start just in front of the garden gate. The altitude of the Tuscan Alps reaches up to 2.100 m above sea level. Get your calories of the Tuscan cuisine burned.

Golfers will find a marvellous, well maintained 18 hole golf course with an elegant club house, beautifully nestled at the foothill near Forte dei Marmi, only 12 mls away. The green fee on working days is about 60 to 80 €.

Villa Colombaia has been completely reconstructed and renovated in 2011. All rooms have been lovingly furnished in a romantic, shabby chic style. Everything is new except the old chestnut beams of the ceilings and the thick walls which keep the house cool on hot summer days. The living space of the house comes to 160 square meters ( or 1.760 square feet) at 3 levels.

Park and garden of about 2.200 square meters are for your private use and offer you shady and sunny areas with umbrellas, a covered eating place and a gazebo at the pool.

groundfloor: living room with 2 sofas, one as a convertible sofa bed, indoor eating section, small but functional kitchen, spacious terrace of 100 sqm sunny until sunset, WC, stairs to upper level

Enjoy vibrant life at the beach and city centres and relax afterwards in tranquillity and privacy only a few miles away in the country side amidst rolling hills and cosy Tuscan villages.

Pieve

Lots of little suburbs - called "frazione" in italian - are spread over hills and mountains of the Apuan Alps. One of those is the little cosy village of Pieve di Camaiore, in a distance of 2 mls of the city center of Camaiore, the main town of about 10.000 inhabitants.

Although only 6 mls from the sea, life is here is pretty different: calm and relaxing, no stress, no noise, good ventilation and fresh air from the mountaines. Climate, temperatures and humidity are much more moderate and comfortable compared with the sea side.

Buy fresh fruit and vegetables at the little grocery stores around the corner and you will appreciate its freshness and flavour, or dine out in a local restaurant and try the tipical Tuscan cuisine.

In order to guide you to the right one we have provided a personal restaurant guide and we will be glad making the reservations for our guests upon request.

Owner is German, speaks english, german and italian and helps you making your holidays unforgettable ones.
