Boasting beamed ceilings and traditional style flooring throughout, these apartments have been refurbished and furnished in a style keeping with the age of the property but with the benefit well equipped and functional kitchens.

2 bedrooms (one double and one with bunk beds, plus extra bed), 2 shower rooms (one en-suite). Living/kitchen/diner. Eating terrace.

The Tuscany / Lucca Province region

The Tuscan Region of Italy is well known for its warm balmy summers, beautiful countryside, rolling hills, mouth - watering food, and of course its towns and villages, rich with mediaeval architecture…

The Garfagnana region of Tuscany, often known as its ‘Green Lung’ is situated away from the milling crowds that can often be found at the most famous Tuscan locations and is totally unspoilt, remaining untouched by tourism. The scenery is spectacular, green and mountainous with views of both the Apuane and Appenine mountains at every turn…And, due to the altitude whilst the weather can be very hot, it is always pleasantly cool for sleeping…

The food is usually home made, using home grown produce, and is typically simple and extremely tasty. Prices here remain very reasonable due to the fact that food is prepared with the locals, and not tourists in mind…The local wine is cheap and surprisingly drinkable! The pace of life is slow and peaceful – spend your days enjoying secluded picnics, swimming in rivers, or watching locals play bocce or ‘cheese throwing’. Visit hundreds of ancient hill top villages, or relax at home basking in stunning scenery.

For ‘townie’ days, visit the mediaeval towns of Barga, Lucca, Castelnuovo, with Pisa and Florence within easy reach too…This is Olde Worlde Italy.

The Pieve Fosciana area

The house is situated in the village of Pieve Fosciana, which has the benefit of a good restaurant, shops, bars, bank and the most wonderful delicatessen, selling home made hot food to take away, and with a menu that changes daily…

Less than a five minute drive is the market town of Castelnuovo with all facilities including supermarket, shops, bars, restaurants and train station for car free exploring…

“A perfect hideaway” A romantic apartment surrounded by countryside and views of mountains, in the picturesque village of Pieve Fosciana. Wake up to roosters and the church bells every morning. Walking distance from a good restaurant. Very peaceful and relaxing! Totally recommended.

Just to let you know re. our recent stay at the Pieve Apt. we had the most fantastic time.
The farm house was lovely, large bedrooms and well equipped kitchen.
The owners were lovely, so friendly and hospitable, even gave us a lovely bottle of Chianti mid week!
Having the pool was brilliant for the family and I liked the fact we were in the heart of the community.
Thank you for all your help. Tuscany is a beautiful place to live. The village was so serene felt as if time had stood still but with the added advantage being accessible to other more tourist areas and GREAT shops both in Lucca, Florence and even on the coast!! puts Blackpool in theshade!!!!

Just back from my break and wanted to thank you for all your efforts. The accommodation was very good and enjoyed by us all, you were right we did have the place all to ourselves. Apart from the first morning the weather was excellent.
Il Pozzo was an excellent restaurant and well recommended.
