Enjoy the splendid mountain views from the lawned garden filled with blossoms, magnolia, palms & olive trees, or escape the midday sun under the shaded terracotta terrace which is supported by columns, surrounds the house on two sides and hosts a small cane table with chairs.
There is a swing in the garden for children to play on and lamps scattered in between the trees to illuminate it during the evenings.
Villa Elisa is great for families. Close enough to cycle to beach in the day and close enough to cycle to the old town of Pietrasanta in the evenings. We can arrange bicycle hire for you (with child seats).

The Tuscany region
This villa is situated on the Tuscan Riviera which has been Bridgewater's 'special part of Italy since 1973' and was chosen by the Sunday Times Travel Supplement March 20 as an "all star destination" in Italy. Our villas on the Tuscan coast with it's stunning mountain backdrop, wide golden beaches & beautiful countryside are only 30 mins from Pisa airport, 20 minutes from Lucca, 1 hour from Florence, Portofino & the Cinque Terre.
Pietrasanta area
Bridgewater has its own office in Pietrasanta,a magical town of 'art & artists' where Michelangelo once lived. The Medieval town nestles at the foot of the marble clad Apuan alps only a few minutes drive (or bike ride) from some of Italy's most immaculate wide sandy beaches. The area is loved by locals as well as international artists, sculptors and celebrities yet relatively undiscovered by tourists. The Tuscan Riviera is the ideal destination from which to explore the best that Italy has to offer with a private villa as your base. Perfect for beach lovers and those who are looking for art, culture, and cuisine as well as splendid countryside. Music lovers will be interested to know that ‘Torre del Lago’ (where the maestro Giacomo Puccini lived and wrote his operas) is only 15 minutes drive and you can enjoy Puccini’s operas beneath the stars at the open air theatre by the lake. Walking in the alps is also popular in this area of Italy and the food is some of the best that Italy has to offer…simple, fresh, rustic cuisine to satisfy the most discerning of pallets. There is also tennis, watersports, clay pigeon shooting, golf, horse-riding in the area.
How to get there
Pisa is the nearest airport to fly to for this property. (Bologna, Florence & Genoa are also within reasonable distance). The journey from the airport can be made either by hire car, taxi or train in to Pietrasanta station. Bridgewater can arrange bike hire and beach club membership prior to departure as well as other 'Finishing Touches' such as hampers etc.
Pisa airport is well serviced by the majority of lowcost airlines from all around the UK, flycheapo.com have a timetable of which low cost airlines fly where.
The villa is only around 30km from the airport.
Most car hire companies have desks at Pisa airport and good deals are available. A good tip is for one person to go straight to the car hire desk whilst others wait for the luggage - this way you beat the queues!

Further details indoors: Entrance is into the pearled marble floored living/dining area with a dark wooden oval shaped dining table, dresser, fireplace and comfortable sitting area. The compact but well equipped kitchen (microwave but no dishwasher) is set off the kitchen directly to the left of the front door. There is a small marble topped dining table ideal for food preparation or eating breakfast!
There is also a twin room and bathroom with bath situated on the ground floor just off the living area, opposite the main entrance.
An open plan stone staircase with wrought iron bannister leads from the living area to the landing on the floor above where there is a double bedroom, a further twin and a tastefully designed bathroom with a double sink, circular shaped shower basin, pastel blue floor tiles floor, cream surfaces and a large mirrored splash back.
There are a further two rooms off this landing which are locked and used for storage.
Cot & high chair available on request.
Further details outdoors: The villa has a electric gates and good sized ‘L shaped’ drive with a shaded car port for parking. It is situated at the end of a cul-de sac amongst other houses of the same high standard.

INVENTORY DEPOSITS: A security deposit is required ,to be held by us against unpaid local accounts or damages. You can pledge the security deposit by Credit Card authorisation,which is cancelled as soon as we receive advice from Italy that no charges are due
