This large Provençal ‘mas’ is an ideal holiday property for families and is divided into two totally independent homes - one occupied by the friendly English owners, the other being the holiday home.
Victoria and Simon are there if you need them and offer a welcome Rose and Provençal canapés to explain and introduce you to their part of Provence but wish our guests to feel totally independent.

About this location
The Provence region
Like the multiple facets of a diamond, the greatest wealth of the Provence-Alpes Côte d'Azur Region is undoubtedly its sparkling diversity.
Blessed with wide open spaces, towns steeped in art and history, festive traditions, ancient edifices, modern art, as well as the fine-sand beaches and turquoise waters of its Mediterranean shoreline, the Provence-Alpes Côte d'Azur Region is a superb holiday destination. Just indulge your fancy: go skiing in the Southern Alps, hiking in the Nature Parks, or experience the thrills of air and water sports and white water challenges.
There are on average 320 days of sunshine in this region but being higher the temperatures are not as high as on the coast and welcome lunch time breezes are to be found most days.
The region has a rich cultural heritage with museums, parks and gardens, mansions, castles and historic sites. But it is also reputed for its legendary art of living, gastronomy, vineyards and well-entrenched traditions.
Regardless of the season, Provence-Alpes Côte d'Azur will give you a warm and sincere welcome and unveil its treasures to you...
The local town of Forcalquier (www.forcalquier.com) is built around the slopes of a steep conical hill, crowned by an octagonal chapel, Notre Dame de Provence, where the medieval citadel once stood.
The Cordeliers Convent was built in the 13th century by Franciscans; named "Cordeliers" because of their rope belts. This convent was occupied by monks until the Revolution. Today it is an international perfume school (part of the University Of Europe) and they have a fantastic day course - ‘Make your own perfume’.
Forcalquier is near the centre of the Provence lavender industry and in early July the plateau of Valensole is just lavender fields as far as the eye can see. Nearby we have the factory shops of the now famous L’Occitiane and Terre D’Oc.
Other activities close by include ballooning, horse riding, tennis, golf and white water rafting.
The Lac de St. Croix and the Gorges du Verdon are great for a day out and if the seaside is wanted, the charming coastal villages near Marseille E.G. Cassis and Bandol (famous for its excellent Rose) are just 1.5 hours away. The cultural city of Aix-en-Provence Cezanne’s home town has a spectacular summer festival just 1 hour away.
