Completely renovated to an exceedingly high standard, the gite has spacious rooms, and plenty of modern amenities to enhance your stay, with everything you would expect to find in your own home.
La Maison de Rebeyrat has three floors. The living room is on the ground floor and has a large open fireplace, ceramic tiled floor, satellite TV (English channels) and DVD player. French doors lead to the veranda and enclosed lawn. One of the settees converts into a double sofa bed.
Steps from the living room lead up to a modern, well equipped kitchen with a dining area. The kitchen has an electric cooker, fridge/freezer, toaster, and fitted units. A patio door at the rear opens up to steps to the garden where there is a barbecue area.
The downstairs toilet is tiled, with a hand basin and a shower, and is off the passage that leads to the double bedroom. There is an attractive view of the countryside and the pool from the bedroom.
At the top of the open stairs there is a large room with twin beds and a single bedroom.
These are separated by a passageway that has a room with a toilet and hand basin.
The flooring throughout, except where stated is wooden.
The pool (open 31st May - 30th Sept) is situated to the rear of the buildings in a secluded private sun trap, with a lovely open aspect and views of the local wooded area. The pool has easy access by steps, with loungers and parasols for your comfort, pool-side lights and under-water illumination.
The gites are set on the edge of an unspoilt hamlet and offers guests comfort, privacy and tranquility. Our child friendly gites are ideal for families, with facilities onsite to amuse children of all ages. There is a ping pong table, pool table toys/games, and books from the library. There is so much land for children to run around freely and everyone to find their own private space to relax and unwind.
The rear enclosed garden, shared by both gites, has a large brick chimney barbecue where you can enjoy outdoor dining at the table and chairs provided. You can also watch for wildlife, such as deer, birds, including eagles, hoopoe, black redstart and woodpeckers, from the comfort of the loungers. On a dark clear night, the starry sky is spectacular. Rebeyrat Gites is a fantastic location for families seeking an active yet relaxing holiday with something on offer for everyone, a good base to visit the many historic and other sites of interest in the area.

The Dordogne region
The Parc Natural Regional Perigord-Limousin was founded in 1998. No week goes by in the summer without some event here or there. In Piegut – Pluviers, the imposing tower in Pigut was built for Richard the Lionheart in 1199, with its intriguing circular “donjon”. BRANTOME -
A charming town is an island encircled by a loop of the river Dronne, linked to the outside world by five bridges hence it's nickname 'Venice of the Perigord' Brantome is one of the uncontested high-spots of tourism in the Perigord celebrated by both archaeologists and visitors alike. It's superb belfry studied by Viollet le Duc is the “Oldest in France” with it's Dome and Carolingian capital. BOURDEILLES The village of Bourdeilles is an attractive village next to the river to the south-east of Brantome, and is well worth exploring. It is dominated by its chateax - or rather its chateaux. Nontron was originally a Celtic oppidum, then a gallo-Roman castrum watching over disquieting horizons. This medieval fortress, of which only the ramparts remain, underwent the wars of the region. Nontron is manufacture of knives and boxwood handles. Limoges is famous for porcelain; Oradour, a grim reminder of the tragedies of World War 2.
For an energetic family fun day out, you must go to the Adventure Park, where you can swing from trees, walk rope ladders, absail amongst other thrilling activities set in a natural area. All activities uses harnesses and are fully supported by qualified and experienced instructors.

There is a family run restaurant within walking distance. Piegut Pluviers is a 5 minute drive from Rebeyrat and has a supermarket with petrol/diesel, local shops, banks, restaurants, bars, post office, doctor's surgery, and a pharmacy. Piegut which has a bustling market, not to be missed, selling local produce, crafts, etc is held on a Wednesday morning. A heaven for food enthusiasts. Also good for the children are the beautiful man-made beaches that are less than 10 minutes away, at Saint-Estephe, and one at St Mathieu. The extensive facilities, which include a children's play area, free canoeing for 30 minutes, fishing, beach volley ball, and French boules. There are lifeguards in the height of the season. The lakes and seating areas are well maintained. There is a walking and cycling path round the lakes. Both lakes have a couple of well priced snack bars and picnic area. There is free ample parking.
On Tuesday evenings in the summer there is a local producers night market where you can buy fresh produce and have it BBQ'd. and enjoy the night while listening to the band, loved by our guests. This is a truly great French experience.
We have numerous walking and mountain biking trails that start on our front doorstep
The whole experience will provide fond memories that will last long after the holiday is over and make you want to return.
