The house is located in a quiet and peaceful setting, only 10 min. walk from the town of Piegut. Major towns and cities are all under 1 hours drive away.
The interior of the property is light and welcoming. All facilities are easy to use and we are on hand should you need anything further. There is a large open shingled barn ideal for playing boules and 2 bikes for your use. With 4 bedrooms, the house is ideal for families with plenty in the surrounding areas to see and do during your stay.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Dordogne region
This vast rural area of South West France has plenty to explore from old churches and abbeys to castles, chateaux, towers and priories, some dating as far back as the 12th century. The Dordogne towns of Perigeux and Bergerac are under an hours drive away, driving also enables you to take in the surrounding countryside with its river valleys, pass through typical French villages, sunflower fields and farms. Renowned for its long hot summers - April to October with temperatures ranging from 20 to 35 degrees, its the ideal holiday venue.
Piegut area
Piegut town lies very central to many villages and larger towns, with the 3 departments of Haute-Vienne, Dordogne and the Charente on its border. Piegut has the largest market every Wednesday morning, housing over 200 stalls. In the town are various shops, 2 banks, supermarket, bars/restaurants, pizza parlour, 3 hairdressers, a gift shop, 3 bakers, churches and a 12th century keep/tower open to the public.
St. Estephe village is only 3 kms away and has the largest lake in the region (70 acres) with inland beaches providing swimming, fishing, canoeing and horse riding, other water sports and leisure facilities. This typcial French village houses a church, town hall, bar/restaurant, post office and bakers all in the main street.
How to get there
However you choose to travel to France, once here it is advisable to have the use of a car to make the most the area has to offer. Most airports have the fly/drive facility.
