Situated on the Little Puddle Barn site, Harriet's Cottage has been a long term project of the owners incorporating cutting edge environmentally friendly technology. Features include a large area of glass tiled roof for the solar heating system, Huge thermal storage tank and bio fuel burner.
The holiday cottage is half of this ambitious Grand Design, the other half is Jasmines Cottage and is also available to let. There are sheep, chickens and a host of wildlife living in the grounds which are bordered by the River Piddle which is more of a stream at this point.
Downstairs is a fabulous open plan living area with modern kitchen, dining area and sitting area, all with polished concrete floors, top quality furnishings and modern lighting & entertainment. Spectacular glass & steel spiral staircase featuring glass treads leading to galleries area area with glass ballustrade overlooking the double height sitting area. The three bedrooms sleep 5/6 in king, double & 4ft beds. There's an ensuite bathroom to the main bedroom with large shower and double ended bath, and a separate shower room off the landing.

The historic town of Dorchester lies on the banks of the River Frome and has much to offer its visitors including a wide range of family attractions. Dorchester is noted as being the home to Thomas Hardy whose novel The Mayor of Casterbridge was based on.
There are also connections with the Tolpuddle Martyrs and Roman Britain.
There are many places to visit near Piddlehinton for both adults and children alike. Nearby Southampton boasts of many shopping centre and traditional shops and markets along with museums, theatres and parks.
There is also a traditional seaside day out in Weymouth, one of the few remaining 'proper seasides' which includes Punch & Judy, Donkey ride, swing boats, helter skelters and many more attractions.
Piddlehinton is a great base to explore South West England from.
