A welcoming, warm and cosy cottage in a prime location. This cottage is too special to stay unoccupied for long!,it has charm and character and was spotlessly clean with special luxuries eg good quality bed linen and towels etc. It was lovely to arrive to the heating being on in every room and the lounge and bedrooms brightly lit. We will definitely return. |

A lovely cottage, ideally situated in the lovely town of Pickering. The cottage had everything to offer and more, it is quaint, well equipped and very comfortable. Pickering and the surrounding area has everything to offer whether it's just the two of you or a family holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our week there and will be booking it again. We would definately recommend the cottage to all of our friends and family. |

Guestbook for Pickering Cottage
NEW FOR 2009!!!
Just a few lines to give feedback on Pickering Cottage.
It is a lovely cottage furnished to a high spec for your guests comfort. It is in an excellent location and as you said parking was not a problem. Just a few yards up the hill. I can see a lot of hard work and thought by yourselves has gone into the preparation for guests comfort. The leaflets and books on North Yorks were appreciated, as was freeview and the DVDs (unwatched but nice to have available). I made use of patio set on Sunday as the sunshine was lovely but wind fresh. However the yard is a delightful sun trap.
As I said previously it was a pleasure to stay and I hope to be a repeat customer. Well done. I hope others will appreciate and respect the property too.
Best regards Diane summers
Hi Marie,
we had a fantastic time, the cottage was lovely, lots of hot water, shower fantastic, we sat and had our meals al fresco . The beds were comfortable and we had all we needed. We would like to return at a later date.
Kind Regards
Mrs J Scott
We really enjoyed our stay in your beautiful cottage and the close position to the market square really puts the icing on the cake.
Thanks so much.
Kind regards
Bob Clements
Hi Marie,
First of all thank you so very much for the beautiful bouquet of flowers, it was most unexpected and we were overwhelmed by your kindness. As we said we had a wonderful break and found Pickering even more charming than the last time we visited (Shush, it was 20 years ago). Everybody that we met was very friendly and all the food was excellent.
We had a lovely surprise when we saw the names of Bob & Muriel Clements in your guest book as they used to be our near neighbours and our sons went to school together.
Please accept this as conformation of our next booking for Pickering Cottage for the 1st - 8th August 2009. having seen the sign outside the cottage we have now seen your own web site which is most professional and informative, we had previously only seen the Holiday Lettings version.
Best Regards,
Ray & Sheila Oakes
Hi Marie,
Thanks for returning our deposit cheque so promptly. We had a simply brilliant time whilst staying in your cottage, a week away is often more refreshing than two weeks at home. Our arrival was greeted by a parade of three silver bands and we also managed a full day at the Pickering traction engine rally, where I got the chance to drive a full sized steam driven traction engine around the arena (properly made my day). Thank you also for the welcome pack which was most generous and very gratefully received, it really set our stay off to an excellent start. We also tried the three course Sunday lunch at the Black Swan which was very nice indeed.
We thank you for all of your kindness and look forward to staying in your cottage again in the future (just need to organise some more holiday).
Best Regards,
Ray.
