Castlegate Coach House offers luxury self-catering accommodation for up to 4 people. It is a Grade 2 listed building, which has recently completed extensive renovations (2007). It stands with in the grounds of Castlegate House (the owner's residence) and both properties are believed to date from 1845; having been commissioned by a prominent local landowning family. The cottage has an open-plan layout on the ground floor, comprising of a large kitchen/diner, and living room with French windows leading out on to a private courtyard area. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms and a bathroom. The property is non-smoking throughout, and is dog-friendly. It has a separate access from that of the main house, and off-street, private parking for 2 cars is reserved for guests. We also offer free, unlimited, WiFi access and free phone calls to national landline numbers (up to 1 hour at a time).

The Yorkshire region
Pickering is located on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, with beautiful, unspoilt scenery, and excellent walking country. It's also conveniently located within 20 miles of the coast at Whitby and Scarborough, and only 40 minutes drive to York with all its tourist attractions. Castle Howard is 30 minutes away, as is the National Trust's Nunnington Hall and Rievaulx Abbey.
