Home description

Our house Hänsel is furbished with Tyrolian style wooden furniture - cosy and practical. On the first floor there is an open fire-place and a private terrace in the garden. The upper apartment has a 360° views of the stunning scenery.

Both apartments are fully equipped, with oven, refrigerator, freezer, radio and tv/video. A welcome-basket helps with the necessities for the first days. Each apartment in the chalet sleeps up to 6 people, and a larger group can rent both apartments together to sleep up to 12.

The Lombardy / Bergamo Alps/Sondrio region

The lakes of this part of Italy have drawn visitors from all over the world – and from Shelley to Lawrence they have long inspired writers and poets. Emilia Romagna is Italy’s farm, producing some famous exports – Parma ham and parmesan cheese - and birthplace of some of its most famous sons, from Fellini to Pavarotti.

Piazza/Brembana area

Piazza Brembana is the main village in the Brembana valley. A few minutes from here is the start of the "Sentiero delle Orobie" the Orobian Hiking trail. We are located 50 m from the forest, the start of the hiking trails, but also only 2-5 minutes from the centre of the village.

Here you find an unspoiled northern Italian ambience. Whether you like nature and mountains, or prefer culture and art, you find it both in this part of Italy. It is also ideal for relaxing and unwinding. We can arrange special programs of hiking, skiing, deer-watching, flower-tours, cultural visits for you if requested in advance.

How to get there

Fly to Bergamo airport (OrioalSerio) served also by Ryanair, Hapag Lloyd, AirBerlin etc.
From the airport take the orange bus (public transport) to the trainstation. Change for another (blue) bus, which takes you in 1 hour 15 min. to Piazza Brembana.
However we recommand to rent a car, as our mountains offer a lot of beautiful locations to be reached mostly only by car.
