About the home

The apartement is situated just a couple of minutes from the beautiful historical town, where there are many charming narrow cobbled streets , with craftsman, shops, restaurants and cafes to explore.

The smartly renovated apartment is fully self-contained with its own flower filled, walled courtyard, which has sun for most of the year. Ideal for a couple. WIFI connection.

A car is recommended, however it is not essential. You can rent a bike just metres from the property, or a car locally for a few days.

This large house is divided into two and the owners, a French/English family, live in the other part. The owners are a charming couple and will be as friendly or discreet as you wish.

The apartment is fully self-contained. It is light and bright and features some of one of the owner’s, a professional artist, original paintings.

Entry is via a flight of stairs with handrail, to the apartment’s front door and an entrance foyer. From the foyer a door opens on to a small, light corridor. The large bedroom has exposed beams, double bed, wardrobe etc and a TV. A huge window opens to the courtyard.

There's a good-sized bathroom with bath, overhead shower and hand washbasin with vanity and big mirror, and separate WC. Up two steps is the bright, sunny kitchen/dining room with a window overlooking the courtyard and French door opening to it. There's a three-seater corner sofa in this room.

The kitchen is neat, practical and well equipped with two hotplates, bench top electric oven, microwave, fridge, coffee machine, etc.

The original old tiles from the house have been retained here, with timber floors in the rest of the apartment.

The courtyard is 12 sq m with a dining setting provided and is an ideal spot for al fresco meals, or relaxing in the sun, a cool drink to hand!

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Herault region

The region is set between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean, with its beautiful sandy beaches. There are many lively cities and fortified villages to explore throughout the Herault region. It provides everything for the holiday maker.
Languedoc is famous for its vinyards, where you can taste some of the excellent wines.

The Pezenas area

Pézenas is a 17 th century historical town, with its busy market on saturday, and its wonderful mediterranean food. It is famous for its antique shops, craftsman and art studios.

Beziers airport (Ryanair), 25 mn drive & Montpellier (Ryanair and Easyjet), 50 minutes' drive, are the closest airports. There is also an international train station.

Beziers (23 kms) also has a train station.

From Beziers there is a bus service to Pezenas

Nimes, Carcassonne, Perpignan and Rodez airports are about an hour's drive (Ryanair), Toulouse and Marseille two and a half hours, an easy trip on the autoroute (British Airways).

We really enjoyed our stay in the apartment in Pezenas. We found them both to be great hosts; they answered our many questions yet were not overbearing or in our way. The apartment itself was wonderful -we did make dinner there a few times and sat out on the patio every morning and evening. Pezenas is a great city and a wonderful base to explore the surrounding area. (Mr & Mrs Lenane, New York, USA)

The apartment was perfect for our needs and we were made extremely welcome by (owners). They were not at all intrusive but were always available if needed, very much like having extremely friendly neighbours. We both love the Languedoc region, having been there several times, but Pezenas is the icing on the cake .....

We had a smashing holiday in Pezenas.
