The Languedoc-Roussillon region

South of France Langued'oc has lively up to scratch Beaches and City Centres set amid a countryside of romantic legend and gaety. Faugeres and Corbieres wines are from here along with special local inspirations for the table. The Med to the south, the Espinouse Hills in the north with lakes and rivers are all attractions nearby during the summer heat.

With amenities at hand for shopping and dining, the local area is magic to be explored by car, bicycle or on foot.

There is a quiet road to the beach , a thirty minute drive beyond Pezenas.

Seven local wines are highly recommended and always available for tasting .

Rich evidence of the history of ancient and medieval civilisation in and nearby the village.

Saturday and weekday markets in Pezenas and Montagnac respectively.

River swimming at Reals or upstream under the Pont Diable is superb, with high dives, sandy shores and wooded siesta shade .

Cultural events frequent throughout the summer. Jazz, live theatre and dances are regular events in this uncommonly stylish village and in villages nearby along with Pezenas itself.

Either by train from Beziers , or else by car there is good access to Nimes, Arles and the Camargue, Montpelier and Marseille to the east and Perpignan, Narbonne, Carcassonne, the Pirenees and Spanish border along to the west.

"Excellent value for money, comfortable and conveniently located for exploring the area"

The village was interesting with a mixture of locals and holiday makers. The swimming pool whilst not directly attached to the property is perfectly adequate and well looked after by the caretaker. The house is fairly basic but has all the amenities necessary with loads of very hot water. We had a great time at Roquebrun and Port Tiragnes beach both only 40 mins drive.
