Home description

Situated in the heart of the village of Servian, which has all commodities and restaurants, this large property has been renovated whilst keeping many of its original features. A large swimming pool and terrace is situated in the rear garden, which is south facing. Whilst in a quiet location the house is only 20 minutes from the Mediterranean beaches and ideal for exploring the nearby towns of Pezenas and Beziers.

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Herault region

The Languedoc is one of the most popular regions of France with its long sandy beaches, rolling hills and vineyards and these days easy access, either by plane or car. The latter takes you over the highest road bridge in the world at Millau on the A75, when travelling south and just over an hour from the house. The climate is hot and sunny with temperatures often in the high 30's in summer and with over 300 days of sunshine a year the house is well situated. Pezenas a few minutes drive away is full of history based on the plays of Moliere, the equivalent of Shakespeare but a little more humorous, and full of shops and boutiques as well as restaurants and bars.

Pezenas / Servian area

The centre of the village has all shops, bars, restaurants as well as a medium sized supermarket and a larger supermarket is situated on the edge of the village on the Pezenas road. A number of festivals are held in the village and the surrounding villages and town throughout the year - from the Feria in Beziers in August to the Festival Moliere through June and July in Pezenas.

How to get there

Flights from the UK (London Stanstead and Bristol) and elsewhere arrive at Beziers (15 mins) Montpellier - 45 minutes drive, Perpignan and Carcassone 1.25 hours drive or Nimes 1.5 hours drive away. Cheap flights include Ryanair and BMI Baby.

By train/TGV from Paris in 3.5 hours to Beziers and then taxi - 20 minutes. There are bus services to Beziers regularly throughout the day on weekdays.

By car the A75 to Pezenas or the A9 and leave at the Pezenas/Agde junction.

No pets are allowed. Smoking is not permitted inside the house. The house is available only Saturday to Saturday from May through to September.
