Home description
The house has been recently renovated and has many touches, which make it a home from home.
The living room has a wonderful view and is cosy and well equipped with television and a DVD and a selection of DVDs A CD player and games are also provided for those with a competitive spirit. There is a wood-burning stove for those chilly evenings. There is also a double sofa bed
There are two double bedrooms with either ensuite shower facilities or ensuite bath and hydro massage facilities. Both rooms are situated at the front of the main house and have panoramic views over the valley.
The dining kitchen has a large gas cooker, microwave, large fridge, freezer. There is also a separate dining room which seats six comfortably, this also has the original bread oven and a wood burning stove. Next to the dining room are a toilet and handbasin and a shared utility room with washing machine.
Immediately outside the rear entrance is the terrace, and garden. The terrace is shared with our small gite but is partitioned off for privacy.
Included in the price are gas, bed linen, towels, t-towels and hairdryers.
We also provide a Welcome pack for 16€ which contains the basic shopping items for may need for breakfast for those people arriving late at night or on a Sunday. Details on request.

The Limousin / Auvergne / Haute-Vienne region
There are many place to visit in this area, some of the main ones are:
Lake de Vassiviere, which is 30 minutes away and has 45kms of shoreline offering category two fishing, six man-made beaches, bars and restaurants. Situated on an island in the lake is the Centre of Contemporary Art, a Sculpture Park and many picnic spots. Newly opened is Parc d’arbre en arbre for both children and adults alike.
If you prefer a taste of city life and culture, Limoges is 45 minutes way and is famed for its porcelaine and enamel work. The city centre also contains some lovely shops, numerous museums, a 13th century Butcher’s Quarter, both covered and open markets, botanical gardens and a microbrewery complete with bar and pavement side tables so you can sit and watch the world go by.
Other places of interest include the medieval market town of St.Leonard de Noblat with a fine example of an 11th century Romanesque church, half timbered houses and shops. Aubusson which of course is famous for tapestry making and which has both permanent and temporary exhibitions of works dating from the 15th Century to the present day.
La Souterraine a lively market town and pilgrims halt on the way to St.Jacques de Compostelle. Parts of the medieval ramparts such as Portal of St.Jean still stand.
Chenerailles boasts the beautiful renaissance Chateau de Villemonteix
Peyrat le Chateau area
Peyrat le Chateau is the nearest town and has four bars and three restaurants and shops such bakers, butchers etc . It also has a market twice a week.During the summer months there are free concerts on Friday or Saturday night on the beach by the lake aswell as seasonal activities such as guided walks.
How to get there
St..Moreil is approximately 50 minutes from Limoges airport or 45 minutes from the A20 motorway.
Direct flights are available from Stansted, Southampton, Liverpool, Newcastle & East Midlands Airport to Limoges. Car Hire Available from the Airport from Hertz & Europcar.
