About the home

The apartment has two large bedrooms, one double, one twin each with large fitted wardrobes. The lounge has two comfortable sofas, one of which can be easily converted into a double bed, flat screen TV , Sky, DVD player and Playstation 2. In the kitchen you will find a ceramic hob and electric oven, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, sandwich toaster, kettle and a washing machine. There is also a large selection of utensils. The dining area has a table and chairs for six people. Extensive coastal and and mountain views from the roof terrace. The busy resort of Coral Bay is less than 5 minutes drive/taxi away.

The Paphos region

The town of Paphos is included in the official UNESCO list of cultural and natural treasures of the world's heritage. The Paphos area has everything from archaeological sites to nightclubs. Golf courses, including the Championship standard Aphrodite Hills, rugged mountains, large bays, small gulfs and coves and sunken wrecks for the advanced scuba divers. It also covers the beautiful Akamas peninsula. Attractions in Akamas include a loggerhead turtle sanctuary and the Baths of Aphrodite where the goddess is said to have bathed. Coral Bay and Corellia Beach are two of the finest beaches in Cyprus and are just a 5 minute drive,or short local bus ride from your holiday apartment.

The Peyia / Peyia Village area

Peyia is situated mainly on the steep slopes of the coastal hills inland from Coral Bay. Like many other towns in the Paphos region, Peyia has a large number of cafes and restaurants along the main road. More places to eat can be found on the next road in, to the east of the main strip, suggesting there is no shortage of demand. These range from taverns, meze houses and traditional cafes, to themed restaurants hosting, for example, Chinese nights.There are also 2 banks, two well stocked supermarkets which sell the best of local produce, 2 bakeries and a butchery which cuts meat to order. It has a mixture of old and new architecture but has retained its air of tradition. The old men still meet at the end of the day near the square to chat, drink and watch the world go by. The next significant town up is Kathikas, which again has an impressive range of eateries, as well as the Sterna Winnery. As Peyia is on the hillside a car is well advised.

· Fly to Paphos, Peyia Village is just 17 kilometres from the airport and takes about 40 minutes.
· Cheap flights are available from Easyjet.co.uk, Monarch.co.uk, Thomsonfly.com Flythomascook.com from most major UK airports. There are also scheduled flights with BA, from Gatwick and Cyprus Airways from Heathrow.
· There are always plenty of taxis available and the fare should be no more than 30 euros
· Private transfers can be arranged upon request.
· If you prefer to hire a car there are numerous car hire centres at the airport. NB. Cyprus drives on the same side of the road as the UK so driving is easy.

“A great apartment with fabulous roof terrace and use of super pool” Thank you for the use of this comfortable apartment. The roof terrace was amazing, the balcony a cool shady spot and the swimming pool, which we often had to ourselves, was wonderful. Peyia shops and bars were easy to walk to,just as described and it was very easy to drive to beach, bars and restaurants of Coral Bay. We all enjoyed ourselves relaxing in the sun by day and enjoying excellent meals at night.
