The Paphos District

Cyprus enjoys 340 days of sunshine a year, with high summer and mild winter temperatures. Crime is exceptionally low and there is very low pollution.

The many cultural attractions in the Paphos area include the beautifully preserved Roman mosaics at the World Heritage site, the Tombs of the Kings, Paphos harbour and castle, the Kykkos monastery (in the Troodos mountains) and other monasteries and archaeological sites nearby. There are 2 major water parks as well as watersports such as scuba diving, paragliding and boating.

The Akamas Peninsula is a conservation area where the sea turtles come and lay their eggs at Lara Beach. Aphrodite's Rock and Aphrodite's Baths have lovely scenery and are well worth a visit, as is Pissouri. Mini cruises and flights to Egypt and the Pyramids are also available.

Peyia / Peyia Village area

Peyia village has a range of restaurants and tavernas from Cypriot traditional to Pan-Asian and European cuisine. You do not need to leave the village to dine in style! It also has supermarkets, shops and banks for your everyday shopping.

Kathikas is a village above Peyia with some lovely tavernas for outside eating. A little further north, the town of Polis is well worth a visit and the nearby fishing village of Latchi has a harbour, beautiful beaches, sea front eating and drinking and lovely scenery.

Coral Bay is aimed more at tourists and has restaurants, bars and some night clubs, as well as sandy beaches.
Paphos has beaches, a castle and harbour, shops and superstores, fruit and craft markets on Saturdays and Wednesdays, many cultural attractions (mentioned earlier) and a full range of restaurants, bars and cafes.
Further afield are the Akamas Peninsula, the Troodos Mountains and Nicosia, all of which are worth a visit.

How to get there

AboutMyPlace

View Interactive Map

Fly into PAPHOS Airport and then drive a hire car to villa. This takes 45 minutes. Alternatively, fly into LARNACA Airport and then drive hire car to villa. This takes 1 hour and 45 mins. FLYING TO LARNACA CAN BE CONSIDERABLY CHEAPER THAN PAPHOS and the drive to the villa is only one hour more.

For car hire from either airport, we recommend Europcar. The cost for a week's hire is around 130 Euros. We will provide clear directions how to get to the villa once you arrive in Peyia.
