The Paphos District
With an average of 10 months of sunshine and an all year round Mediterranean climate Paphos is very popular with European visitors and it is busy with visitors from March through to December.
Paphos is most established holiday resort in Southern Cyprus and among its attractions are its ancient mosaic floors, historical sites, a beautiful old harbour, its modern hotels and restaurants, situated along the harbour front promenade. Other sights include an archaeological museum, the Byzantine castle of Paphos, the Tombs of the Kings, St. Paulas Pillar and the Temple of Aphrodite (the goddess of love and beauty).
The climate of Cyprus makes the summer months a popular time for tourism in Paphos, when temperatures are mid 30s degrees Celsius every day. However the cooler winter months attract keen walkers, mountain biking enthusiasts and skiers to the Troodos Mountains and Akamas peninsular areas.
Paphos offers shopping in the tourist beach promenade and the old town area of Kato Paphos has a wonderful old covered market area to browse around.
In addition to the wonderful choice of beaches and all year sunshine Paphos offers families a fantastic choice of modern or traditional restaurants, and visitor attractions for all interests and age groups. You can do as much as little as you like and if you like to be active you can visit a choice of blue flag beaches, explore, the water park, bird and reptile parks, Aquarium, ten pin bowling, Diving and horse riding and there is a choice of three Golf courses within half an hours drive.
Cyprus extends a warm and friendly welcome to visitors and you drive on the same side of the road as the UK and it is easy to navigate your way around the island.
Peyia area
Peyia is a very popular and charming village situated on a gently sloping hillside overlooking Coral Bay. It is very traditional in look and feel with little winding streets and traditional stone houses with an old village church and shops at the centre.
Peyia offers visitors a good selection of amenities including banks, doctors, two supermarkets, a fantastic bakery, butchers, fishmongers, DVD shop and launderette. It also offers a good selection of traditional tavernas where you can try the local fish or meat meze, or you can try Chloes that offers themed food evenings throughout the week.
The location of Peyia is ideal for families and couples who dont want to be in a the centre of a noisy resort such as Coral Bay but want to be close enough to go into Coral Bay and Paphos for the day or evening.
The road through Peyia leads over the mountain to the very pretty unspoilt village of Polis and Latchi. Polis is a very pretty village with restaurants and tavernas a lovely place to stop for a browse through the market and have lunch. Or visit the very pretty harbour of Latchi and enjoy a tradtional sea food meze very reasonably priced and the fish is fresh off the boats.

Further details indoors: The large open plan lounge with the kitchen and dining area at one end of it has two very comfortable sofas, one of which converts into a good quality sofa bed, satellite TV and DVD for guests to relax and unwind or you can just enjoy the wonderful views from the private balcony terrace.
The fully equipped kitchen, with modern electrical appliances has everything you will need and meals can be enjoyed alfresco on the large balcony or in the dining area which seats six.
Both bedrooms have black out blinds and air conditioning with a cool and heat options. The large master bedroom has is a large double bed with dressing table and ample wardrobe storage. The second bedroom with twin beds also has good wardrobe storage. There are two modern family bathrooms one of which has has a bath with over shower, sink and WC, the other has a shower cubicle, WC and vanity unit.

Beautiful place, we loved it! This apartment was exactly right for us and ticked all the boxs (air con appreciated) A great location, it's true to say that we had some of the best views in the area. Really relaxing fun time had by all!! Peyia proved to be a good base being close to major sights. Coral Bay sunsets are something else!! We'll be back.
