Detached modern 2008 villa on a small development of similar properties, with it's own private pool overlooking countryside, hills and a ravine to the rear. Distant sea view from front balcony. Peaceful location, yet only 5 mins drive, (or 25 mins walk) into Coral bay, with its many restaurants, attractions and superb beach with 2 tavernas, showers and watersports. 2 mins drive (or 10 mins walk) into Peyia village centre, with a choice of supermarkets, tavernas and superb views.
The many attractions nearby include walking in the hills above Peyia or in the Akamos Peninsular, an unspoilt area of natural beauty and varied coastline, which is ideal for walking enthusiasts. Visit Turtle Beach, or drive over the hills to Polis area on the northern coast, or venture further afield to the Troodos mountains, featuring mount Olympus, home to the gods of greek legend. You can ski here in the winter, believe it or not!

Newly and quality furnished, we have attempted to provide a home from home, which it is for us. The main bedroom is furnished with solid oak bed, side tables with lights and a dressing table with large mirror. The en suite has a bath with shower. The second bedroom has white twin beds and a side table, this en suite has a shower unit. There is plenty of hanging and shelf space in the fitted cupboard units. Please note that the lounge suite consists of modern units which may be placed together to form a large bed of sorts, although it is not primarily designed for this purpose. So, we say that, ideally the property will suit 4 adults with the possibility of an extra bed (or even 2) in the lounge, if required.
Guests should please bring their own beach towels for use around the pool.
A cot can be made available if required.
Further details outdoors:
The property is low walled and gated, so that toddlers should not be able to wander outside on their own. The patio area is under a pergola with table and chairs, with additional space next to it leading to steps down to the private pool area, with terrace and sun-loungers. The sun rises opposite the pool and travels over the property later in the day, so that late afternoon will find the pool in sometimes welcome shade. Dedicated sun worshippers, however, are still able to soak up the rays at the top of the steps next to the patio area overlooking the pool.

The Paphos region
Cyprus boasts an average of 340 days of sunshine per year! We are located in the southern, Greek part of the island, while the Northern part is the Turkish area. (The boundary stretches from around Famagusta, through Nicosia to just north of Polis.)
The charming western town of Paphos focuses around a pretty harbour, with picturesque open air tavernas and fish restaurants lining a quayside of bright fishing boats and pleasure craft. The food is generally superb and very reasonably priced when compared to UK. There are plent of historical sights to visit here, most notably the 'Tombs of the Kings' and the mosaics on display in the ruins next to the harbour.
A little further afield lies Kourion, with more mosaics, remains of Roman public baths, hellenistic houses, basilica and amphitheatre overlooking a wonderful coastal landscape. The journey here takes you past a beautiful coastline towards Limassol. There is also an impressive Castle built at the time of the crusades.
Paphos is entwined with Greek mythology and the legendary birth of Aphrodite on its shores, which brought fame and worshippers to follow the cult of the goddess. Landmarks associated with Aphrodite are the chunky, rugged rocks of her beautiful birth shore known as the Aphrodite Rock or 'Petra tou Romiou', the evocative sanctuary of Aphrodite at Kouklia village, one time a shrine and scene of pagan festivals for thousands, the Baths of Aphrodite at Polis, supposed source of fertility and the Fountain of Love, or 'Fontana Amarosa', a few kilometres further into the Akamos Peninsular.
The Peyia / Peyia Village area
Peyia (Pegeia) is a charming and quiet village perched upon the hillslope overlooking Coral Bay, only about 7 kilometres west of Paphos. You will find tavernas, local shops, banks, baker, fishmonger and butcher and restaurants here plus a lovely church and village square and gardens. The narrow streets are filled with old and interesting stone houses and colourful gardens.
We are within 30 to 45 mins drive of 3 spectacular golf courses, so do bring your clubs! There is the fantastic and top quality Aphrodite Hills club, or Minthis Hills (also in the hills above Paphos with some spectacular views) or Secret Valley, which lies a little further along the coast past Paphos. The military have their own course in Happy Valley a bit further on.
There is plenty to do in Coral Bay itself, including nightlife and restaurants plus it's famous blue flag beach with tavernas, showers and watersports available, and free parking!
Further along the coast westwards is Agios Georgios, a lovely secluded beach and harbour, while just past this lies the Akamos Peninsular, a wild area of natural beauty that is well worth a visit and ideal for walking.
Here you will find Turtle beach, home to hundreds of loggerhead turtles that return each year to lay and hatch their eggs, with a lovely rural taverna overlooking the scene and ideal for a lunch. Much further past this point you will need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to explore the terrain by the dirt tracks available.

We have just returned from a very relaxing week in Riverside Villa. The villa was modern, very well equiped and presented immaculately. Although set in a quiet cul de sac the village was a very short walk away from supermarket, bakery, bank and numerous tavernas etc. The weather was fantastic and the pool well used. An excellent holiday for families and couples alike.The owner Malcolm was very pleasant and helpful when we booked our stay. We will book again without hesitation. My husband and I stayed at the villa for 2 weeks. The villa is set in a quiet area, decorated to a good standard and well maintained. It is in ideal location for either a touring or relaxing holiday. There is a number of good bars and resturant in nearbye Coral Bay and Peyia if you prefer to eat out, which my husband and i did most evenings. The small pool is ideal way to cool down in the hot Cyprus sun. We had a lovely time doing our own thing at our pace I would definatly book this Villa again. With apologies - Air conditioning (and/or heating if required) will be charged for, if excessive usage is detected. An additional £50 per week will be charged if the meter reading is excessive. (I have had to do this as the first few months rentals produced some amazing electricity bills!) # If you turn it off when you are outside by the pool and when you go out, it makes a huge difference. It only takes about two minutes to cool the rooms down when first turned on.
Discounts are negotiated for rentals of 3 weeks or more, or for some late deals.
A £100 reservation fee per week is required to secure booking, with the balance paid 6 weeks prior to arrival
A damage deposit of £100 is payable, refundable within 14 days of return. Excessive use of aircon or heating will be deducted from this if necessary, the decision of owner is final and will be based on readings before and after your stay.
