The Paphos District
Paphos offers a wide range of attractions. Have a drink or meal at the town's bustling harbour front, laze around on one of the local beaches or experience a variety of water sports, shop for local crafts or visit one of the World Heritage Sites in the area such as Tomb of the Kings. Paphos offers a range of nightlife, from quiet tavernas to the busy bars and restaurants of the town or Coral Bay.
The Troodos mountain range is nearby with Mount Olympus rising to 1951 meters. Together with the Akamas National Park some excellent walking and cycling is available.
Peyia / Peyia Village area
Peyia is a large, friendly village tucked away in the hills about 3.5 km from Coral Bay and 15 km from Paphos. There are several coffee shops, supermarkets, bars and friendly tavernas which provide simple but excellent food at very reasonable prices. The wonderful scenery of the Akamas national park is on your doorstep and a picturesque drive north along winding roads with spectacular views takes you through Peyia forest and pretty villages to the tip of the Akamas peninsular or Latchi's beaches. The Akamas is the perfect place to enjoy some spectacular mountain biking or walking (bike hire available locally and routes available from the property owners).
There are vinyards nearby offering wine-tasting. The nearest golf course is only a short drive away in the hills of Tsada in the grounds of a 12th century monastery. Or you can go diving off the coast at a selection of varied and interesting dives.
Peyia is the perfect place to unwind during the day and relax at night, yet near enough to Coral Bay should you be looking for something more lively.
