About this location
The Paphos District
Travel to the eastern end of the 'Med' and you will discover Cyprus, a warm and friendly island that boasts one of the best climates of all islands in the Mediterranean and enjoys sunshine all year round.
Cyprus is renowned for it's friendly welcome to the British (they even drive on the left and use proper plugs). The island has a rich and diverse history and culture which together with the climate makes it a holiday resort for all tastes.
At the bottom left corner of Cyprus is the very popular family holiday resort of Paphos. Just ten minutes drive away is Peyia, nestling in the hills above Coral Bay. Peyia has a wide selection of shops, tavernas and restaurants. Just down the road in Coral Bay a whole avenue of bars and delicious eateries await offering both local and international cuisine.
If it is nightlife you want then Paphos has many clubs and bars to suit all tastes and ages. Plenty of other activities are available within easy reach. Swimming, scuba diving, sailing can all be enjoyed in Paphos. There are numerous sea caves to explore close by and of course the famous Tombs of the Kings and the historic harbour in Paphos Town with its bustling cafes and bazaar. If you fancy a day out visit the Troodos Mountains with its stunning views and twisting tracks through the Cedar Valley. In winter you can even ski there.
