The Paphos District

Cyprus has more to offer the visitor than any other Mediterranean island, a fascinating blend of landscape, climate, history and culture. There is a seemingly endless coastline of sandy coves and beaches washed gently by crystal clear blue waters.

Birthplace of Aphrodite and in Roman times the capital of Cyprus, Paphos is one of the most beautiful and ancient towns of Cyprus and is situated on the southwest coast. Sheltered from the north by the Troodos Mountains, it has the healthiest climate in the Mediterranean. Paphos Harbour with it's ancient castle, marine and water sports centres, is lined with colourful restaurants serving fresh fish and marine delicacies. Nearby are archaeological sites, rich with antiquities, providing an interest away from the usual - in fact UNESCO has included Paphos on it's World Cultural Heritage List.

There are no private beaches on the island and Cyprus boasts dozens of European Blue Flag awards. The secluded sandy beaches are perfect for snorkelling and every watersport you can imagine.

If you want excitement then you may want to visit one of three world class water parks within easy reach that rival any in the world. Or, if you want something more relaxing there are three top class golf courses (par 71/72) within 20 minutes drive. Please ask us about golf holiday packages for you and your group.

Eating out in Cyprus is not only extremely cheap but also it's virtually impossible to eat badly. A lot of the locals and tourists too, don't bother cooking at home they just eat out. You can get full English breakfasts for around 5 euros and even have a 20 to 30 course meal, the famous 'Cyprus Meze', for around 15 euros.

There truly is just too much of Cyprus to write about here. The best thing is to just make the effort to visit and we guarantee you will have the holiday of a lifetime.

Peyia area

The village of Peyia is one of the most picturesque and popular villages in the area. It is spread over a large area with the village centre (1km away/15-25 minute walk) having many good amenities including bars, restaurants, tavernas, shops and a bank (to name but a few). Only a 5 minute drive away is the famous Coral Bay resort with its Sandy beach for all the family as well as its more extensive selection of nightlife and daytime activities.

The villa is accessed via a small set of steps (gated) near the private parking area outside. An immediate sense of awe washes over you as you see the stone villa with private pool in front and the amazing mountain scenery.

On entering the villa, the living area is dominated by the working corner stone fireplace and is equipped with satellite TV (free to view sky channels and hotbird) and a DVD player. There are 2 large and comfortable
sofas. Behind the lounge is the dining area with room to seat 6. Through an archway and you are in the fully equipped kitchen which includes an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and
dishwasher.

The 3 bedrooms are located along the corridor leading from the lounge. The master double bedroom has a full en-suite bathroom and patio doors that lead directly onto the pool terrace. There are two further twin bedrooms each with en-suite shower rooms. One of these shower rooms also has direct access from the corridor so can be used as a separate guest cloakroom.

Further internal features, are wooden beamed ceilings and whitewashed walls which contrast starkly with dark wood furnishings giving an air of tradition and a feeling of cosiness in this delightful holiday villa. For added comfort two ceiling fans have been installed in the living area and both the kitchen and living area have been fitted with flyscreens. All 3 bedrooms are equipped with flyscreens and air conditioning units in all rooms is included in the price.

Also included are pool/beach towels, safety deposit box and hairdryer. The villa is fitted with a UK style sanitary system and 2 x 750 litre water tanks on the roof. A Travel Cot is provided free of charge on request.

Further details outdoors:

Outside, the 8m x 4m private swimming pool is surrounded by a large sunbathing terrace fully equipped with sunbeds (6), umbrellas (3), a smart looking and effective BBQ, and a wooden table and chairs. The area is perfect for enjoying relaxed alfresco dining on those warm summer evenings. The well tended garden area is planted with young fruit trees and fragrant jasmine and honeysuckle climb the perimeter wall.

We can arrange taxi transfer by our own driver who knows where the property is and assist with car hire from the airport if desired. The property is professionally managed (you will always have a contact) and has linen changes and cleaning on a weekly basis. Air-Conditioning is included in the rental price as is a welcome pack of basic essentials for your arrival.**

"The property was comfortable with excellent facilities. The three bedrooms with their individual air conditioning and toilet facilities were excellent, as was the provision of kitchen equipment. The pool and outdoor seating were ideal for cooling down after a hot day. Pegeia village has some good restaurants, although we were unable to get food delivered as we did not have a complete address - I would expect street names will be put up once the nearby building work has been completed. As another reviewer commented a car is essential for this property but as long as this is realized then I can thoroughly recommend this villa."
