Spacious open-plan living with brand new fixtures and fittings. Local Satellite TV with integrated DvD player with a selection of films and games for your entertainment, plus WiFi. Having said that, there a huge host of outdoor things to do as Peyia not only close to the sea-front areas of Kato Paphos/Coral Bay, but also to some amazing sight-seeing like Aphrodite Hills/ Turtle Bay and only 1 hour from the ski-resort in the Troodos Mountains. Yes, you really can ski in Cyprus between Jan-March (see www.cyprusski.com).

Sleeping up to 6 people with a master double, a twin room and an inflatable double-bed if required. Whilst the sofas do not have integrated beds, they are comfortable to sleep on too!

Peyia Sunset is a new development located in a quiet cul-de-sac, but within 5-10 minutes walk from Peyia Village Centre (1 minute by car!). You can walk to supermarkets, bars and restaurants in 2-3 minutes. We're less than 5 minutes to Coral Bay centre wher a wide variety of lively bars/restauarants/shops are to be explored. Peyia village also has quite a variety too, but generally smaller, quieter and more "Cypriot" in nature. There is an outdoor communal pool ("Infinity style") with a small area for sunbathing, though the size of the balcony and the bay views do cause most guests to bathe from there!

The Paphos region

Paphos Town, approximately 19 kilometres away, was once the capital of the island and is now included in the official UNESCO list of cultural and natural treasures of the world's heritage. The remains of villas, palaces, theatres, fortresses and tombs mean that the town is of exceptional architectural and historic value. The well preserved mosaics and the Tombs of the Kings are probably the biggest cultural draw with further archaeological discoveries continually being made. Ano Pafos on the cliff is the main administrative centre and residential district while Kato Pafos, by the sea, is the main tourist area built around the harbour and medieval port.

Moving away from the coastal area to explore a little further inland, you will come across the sleepy village of Kathikas. Kathikas is part of the Laona project, a rural regeneration and ecotourism project helping to introduce the concept of agrotourism to five villages on the border of the proposed Akamas reserve area. Located in the heart of wine country, Kathikas is one of the most attractive villages in the area, well known for its great many vineyards, grapes being its main product and their cultivation the main occupation of the villagers. Kathikas even has its own village winery which offers free wine tasting!

Take the time to explore some of the villages off the beaten path between Peyia and Polis on the northwest coast and you'll discover such delights as village cultural centres and museums, galleries and Churches.

Exploring Coral Bay, Paphos and everywhere in between, increases the list of available activities and attractions to include mini golf, watersports, go-karting, horse riding, a snooker hall, bowling alley, heritage sites, modern shopping facilities, a waterpark, an aquarium and the Paphos Bird and Animal Park.

Peyia

The apartment is located in lower Peyia (Pegia) village with great sea views and within walking distance to both the village and to Coral Bays blue flag Mediterranean beaches. Situated in a quiet street the apartment provides the relaxed atmosphere of a rural retreat with all of the amenities you would expect on your doorstep. Both Peyia and Coral Bay have a wide range of excellent supermarkets, shops, bars and restaurants, while Paphos (Pafos) is only a short drive away, approximately 10-15 minutes by car along the lovely ocean road.

The Akamas Penisula, which is an outstanding area of natural beauty, is only a short drive away approximately 10 minutes and caters for Fishing, Climbing, Cycling, Mountain Biking, Horse Riding, Off-Roading. etc.. There is also a variety of cultural and historical locations within a very short distance of the apartment, making this an ideal base. Local amenities: golf, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, tennis, scuba diving, snorkeling, skiing historic sites, museum, zoo, water park and karting.

"A relaxing holiday in a lovely, well equipped apartment"

We enjoyed a very relaxing holiday in this well equipped apartment. We were greeted on arrival and everything was explained, including the much needed air conditioning! The apartment had everything we needed and was very clean and well presented. There are many excellent tavernas in the area although a car was a definite necessity.

"Relaxing and enjoyable family holiday"

Loved the apartment, beautifully furnished with air conditioning which was very necessary. Located in a nice village with all essentials accessible. Good choice of bars and restaurants to suit all and the locals were really friendly which added to our holiday experience.

"Excellent apartment, location [--] views to die for"

The apartment in Peyia was everything that we hoped for and much more. The location in the village of Peyia meant that we could walk for papers, watch football at the local tavernas, walk for a mid morning coffee etc etc. The facilities in the apartment included wi-fi (brilliant when you are away from home for 3 weeks), DVD and satellite TV meant that we could watch football, news and some films. For the ladies there is everything in the kitchen that you could ever want.............and a large balcony on which you can sunbathe and eat breakfast as the sun comes up and eat an evening meal as the sun goes down, looking across on one side to the mountains and another to a wonderful ocean view.
A little bit of advice would be that you definitely need a car to get around..........and be fairly fit to get up the stairs if the lift isn't working.
