The Paphos region


Paphos is an established favourite holiday destination it offers visitors a year round warm medieranean climate, a warm and friendly welcome and a great choice of things to do and see. Steeped in history the Paphos area has some of the best preserved world heritage sites which include , the Byzantine castle of Paphos, the Tombs of the Kings, St. Paula’s Pillar and the Temple of Aphrodite (the goddess of love and beauty).
Paphos offers shopping in the tourist beach promenade and the old town area of Kato Paphos has a wonderful old covered market area to browse around. In addition to the wonderful choice of beaches and all year sunshine Paphos offers families a fantastic choice of modern or traditional restaurants, and many things to do and see, from water parks, to go carting, Golf to Luxury spas there is something for all ages to enjoy.
The Peyia area
Peyia is a very popular and charming village situated on a gently sloping hillside overlooking Coral Bay. It is very traditional in look and feel with little winding streets and traditional stone houses with an old village church and shops at the centre. Popular with brides for their wedding, Peyia offers visitors a good selection of amenities including banks, doctors, two supermarkets, a fantastic bakery, butchers, fishmongers, DVD shop and launderette. It also offers a good selection of traditional tavernas where you can try the local fish or meat meze or you can try Sophie’s restaurant offers international and very popular buffet evenings throughout the week.

We have just returned from our first holiday to Cyprus staying in Apartment Adria in Peyia. The apartment is beutifully furnished and has everything you need and the local management team were very helpful throughout the booking process. We enjoyed using all of the complex facilities and days out on the beach at Coral bay. Peyia village has a good selection of shops and restaurants and and we would definately consider returning to Cyprus again! Ms Ormsby, London
