The Paphos region

Paphos is very popular with tourists. Among its attractions are its ancient mosaic floors, its beautiful old harbour, its modern hotels and restaurants, situated along the seaside promenade.Other sights include an archaeological museum, the Byzantine castle of Paphos, the Tombs of the Kings, St. Paul’s Pillar and the Temple of Aphrodite (the goddess of love and beauty).

The climate of Cyprus makes the summer months a popular time for tourism in Paphos, when temperatures reach easilly into the mid 30 degrees centigrade every day. However the cooler winter months make walking and cycling ideal activities, especially further away in the mountains.

The main shopping lane, which runs parallel to the beach promenade, is the ideal tourists' marketplace.

Paphos is one of the main tourist spots in Cyprus.

Located in Paphos is the gorgeous Coral Bay, a beautifull beach with soft sand and deep blue water, a perfect place for water sports.

Peyia

Peyia is a traditional Cypriot village with a beautiful church. There are bars, tavernas, restaurants, a bakery, a butcher plus two supermarkets.

Paphos is a Unesco world heritage site. You can visit the Tomb of the Kings and the Roman mosaics of the Governors Palace.

Many other things to do, horse riding, buggy and 4x4 safaris, crazy golf, go-carting and walking and sailing. You can get out and about, take a trip to Latchi and Polis.

"Excellent villa in fabulous location"

Villa Callista is nicely located offering panoramic views to sea, villages and the hills.
Villa is in peaceful place. Sometimes you can see local herdsman watching over his goats.
Peyia village center is nearby, and very well equipped Philippos supermarket is not far away either.
The heated pool of the villa offered us many relaxing and fun moments even in October. Villa is very roomy and well taken care of.
After waking up I liked to go to sit on our bedrooms balcony and just watching the views.
The directions to the villa were easily made and led us just on the front door.

"Gorgeous villa highly recommended"

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at villa Callista and it did not disappoint the 2nd time either. All you need for a fabulous relaxing get away holiday is provided, apart from a car, though there are many places you can hire one from. James was kind enough to take us on the 3rd day. Approx 1.5 km into Peyia and a nice walk but not at midday - too hot. The views from the villa are spectacular, especially the sunsets. Phillipos supermarket in Peyia will deliver your groceries including you, back to the villa. You don't get that in England! Private pool so can go skinny dipping. Can't say enough to recommend this villa. Coral bay 5 mins in car. Would definitely recommend Namos bar 10 mins away on the road to St George's. Great food - home made and a great welcome.

"Nice villa shame about the building site"

Ths is the first time I have felt the need to write a negative review, we booked this villa a week before our arrival at the end of September 2012 ,I emailed the owner Joseph Arden a week before to co… More

This criticism was mischievous and inaccurate. Retained emails confirmed that the client only asked if the villa was near a main road, which it is not. There was some work around the pool next door on some days - but we neither had notice of this nor any control over it. We explained this at the time. Unfortunate though this was, all prior and subsequent guests were all happy, and,for the record, the villa next door has been completed for some time now and is stunning.
