Peyia Hills is set in an enviable location in the hills of the village of Peyia, just a couple of minutes from the world famous Coral Bay, making it a perfect location. Coral Bay attracts visitors from all over the world, not just for its crystal clear waters, golden sands and white cliffs, but also for its restaurants, evening entertainment and music festivals.

Coral Bay has arguably the nicest beach and clearest waters in the whole of Cyprus. The beach is a paradise of soft white sand sheltered by headlands with calm turquoise waters. The summer heat is often tempered by a gentle breeze and the sea has a shallow margin where children may play safely.

The Paphos region

Paphos is a fascinating area of Cyprus with something for everyone. Beach lovers may enjoy Aphrodite's Rock, Coral Bay, Pissouri Bay or Lara Bay (look for Turtle nests on the beach). A cosmoplitan array of restaurants and pavement cafes may be found in Paphos itself and more traditional restaurants in the local villages. The Harbour at Kato (Old) Paphos offers opportunities for boat trips, fishing trips or diving.

The area is steeped in history. At the House of Dionysos and at Curium (along the coast) can be seen the remains of Greek and Roman buildings, an amphitheatre and magnificent mosaics. The Tombs of the Kings, spread over a vast area, are impressive underground tombs dating back to the 4th century BC. Carved out of solid rock - some are decorated with Doric pillars. High officials rather than Kings were buried here, but the magnificent tombs gave the locality its name. Kykkos Monastery and Agios Neofytos Monastery are well worth a visit.

Local attractions for children are Paphos Aquarium, Paphos Bird & Animal Park. Paphos Go Karting Centre, Mini Golf, Aphrodite Waterpark, the Adonis Baths and Waterfall.

Heading North by car, is the route to Cedar Valley and the Troodos Mountains. The route is peppered with many small but charming villages along the way. There is an excellent highway which runs to all corners of Cyprus but the old coast road is the most scenic route. A drive along here past various ancient sites such as Aphrodite's Birthplace and Temple, towards Limassol, taking in Curium, is delightful and is littered with the most beautiful views.

The Peyia area

The village of Peyia lies on the south western tip of Cyprus and is set on a hillside with magnificent views overlooking Coral Bay. It’s just a 15 minute drive from Paphos and all it’s attractions and just a short distance from the fabulous beach at Coral Bay. Being situated in Peyia village gives the tranquillity of village life, and a great location for families looking for a base from which to explore the local area.

The original village was a small, stone built community of farmers whose crops were mainly bananas and oranges, and many of these traditional buildings have been retained, but Peyia has grown in strength and is now the Municipality of Peyia, governing the area from Akamas Peninsular in the west to the edges of Paphos on the east side. Today, Peyia retains its charms but has grown up to be a very vibrant and welcoming large village, whose population is a mix of many nationalities. Peyia is developing into a thriving and enjoyable area in which to holiday or simply visit.

Peyia village has a range of restaurants and tavernas from Cypriot traditional to Pan-Asian and European cuisine. You do not need to leave the village to dine in style! It also has a good selection of shops at the centre including supermarkets, banks, bakery, butchers, fishmongers, and launderette.

“Fabulous apartment in an immaculate complex” Stayed for 2 weeks in August. The apartment was great - apart from having no TV, which the teenagers found difficult! Also no microwave, but we managed. The whole complex is managed by John who is really helpful and keeps everything pristine. We had a couple of problems with the water supply and the lettings company were great, fixing it the same day on the first occasion and the following morning on the second (which is a miracle!). Would highly recommend.
