The Paphos region
Paphos is on the South Western Side of Cyprus and enjoys calm beautiful sunshine over 300 days of the year. History is absolutely everywhere, including many world heritage sites and of course is home to the typically friendly accommodating Greek Cypriot lifestyle and food.
Cyprus is the island of Aphrodite and is an ideal place for families, couples and more recently golfers to come and relax, enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Troodos Mountains (In winter you can ski in the mountains drive home and sunbathe on the beach that afternoon), the idyllic beach at Coral Bay and many others and savour the local wines and absolutely fantastic food.
Paphos has everything for every traveller; Water parks and facilities for children and teens (The Greeks are renowned for their friendly manner with children), World Class Golf Courses, Traditional Greek and Turkish Tavernas (Try the Meze!), fine dining and fast food if that's your fancy. Some of the best food and wine is to be found in the many towns and villages and are exceptional value.
For the fun seekers Bar Street in Paphos is lined with wine bars, pubs and nightclubs that you can dance till you drop and taxi's are in plentiful supply, safe and relatively cheap to get you home.
The Peyia / Peyia Village area
Peyia Gardens is ideally located 30 minutes drive from Pafos airport, 20 minutes from the tourist resort of Kato Pafos and old town Pafos, 5 minutes from Coral Bay resort and beaches, 20 minutes drive from Polis & Latchi (North West Side of the Island), 5 minutes drive from Kathikas and walking distance to Peyia Centre.
Peyia is situated on the hillside over looking the Pafos region, our apartment affords magnificent views over the whole area from the mountains behind to the whole coast from Pafos to Coral Bay. You will fall in love with the Sunset.
Peyia village is a traditional Greek Cypriot Village with a plentiful supply of family run Tavernas, serving amazing low cost dining. The Meze is a must, think Greek Tapas and you're only halfway there. A wide range of traditional dishes are served in succession so get comfortable, enjoy the lovely surrounds and wines and savour each and every delicious dish). There are also all the necessary amenities with shops, bars, restaurants, grocers, butchers, fishmonger, Delicatessens, laundry and banks. Set on the hillside overlooking Coral Bay the Orthodox Church and the Community buildings provide a wide vista over the bay where you can watch the old men debate politics all day and night, playing backgammon and drinking the sweet/bitter Cypriot Coffee.
For those in need of an extra workout there is a private fully equipped and air conditioned Gym approximately 800 metres from the apartment.
How to get there

The apartment is approximately 30 minutes drive from Paphos International Airport and is easy to find. Directions and map will be sent prior to departure along with keys and relevant information.
There is only 1 way out of the Airport Grounds so follow that road until you come to a T Junction.
Turn left and follow the signposts for Paphos/Pafos on either the Coast Road or Motorway, it makes little difference and as you approach Paphos you will see signposts for Coral Bay, stay on the road to Coral Bay.
As You approach Coral Bay you will arrive at a cross roads with Peyia signposted to the right and you have arrived.
In terms of flights there are now economy flights with Easy Jet, Jet2 as well as Monarch, Cyprus Airlines, British Airways so it is worth shopping around. Flights with Jet2 to Paphos were available 30/09/09 for 135 GBP.
We recommend hiring a car to fully explore the delights of Cyprus and we suggest either using www.travelsupermarket.com (has always been competitive)if you have internet access or there are all the major car hire companies on arrival at the airport.
Taxi's are widely available and you can either book or flag them down. Airport Transfers by Taxi should be around 60 Euro or Thomas Cook have a transfer bus service (www.transfers4u.co.uk) that is available even if you didn't book the holiday with them.

The apartment was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. It is situated in a lovely village with various shops to suit most needs. We enjoyed meze at Couzins.

just got back from our stay at peyia gardens. and i can honestly say it was one of the best lettings i have stayed in . it was our home from home
about 5 mins drive from the beach and around a 10 minuet walk to the main village of peyia.
so nice and quiet in the evening but not to far if we wanted a bit of night life.
my youngest is 5 so we didnt have that many late nights most days were spent lazing around the pool wich was huge! (was told it is one of the 2 bigest pools in peyia)
enjoyed cooking fresh fish on the balcony for dinner.
our only downside was that we didnt want to come home.
all in all peyia gardens is a must will be booking up again for next year.
