About this location
The East Sussex region
The beautiful village of Pett lies between the town of Hastings and the medieval of Rye. The house in Pett is located a short walk between two country pubs both of which serve good food and a welcoming atmosphere for all the family. From the house peaceful walks through open fields and woodlands a great stress reliever and your dog will love it. For younger children there is a secure play park with adjacent tennis court alongside the cricket pitch which holds regular matches just a short stroll from the house and near one of the local pubs.
Pett Level is a five minute drive from the vilage which boosts a lovely pebbled beach as well as a nature reserve so bring your binoculars to spot the unusual birds and wildlife. The nearest sandy beach which has the biggest sand dunes and six miles of glorious sand and sea.
A fifteen minute drive from the house will get you to the ancient town of Rye with its cobbled streets, multitude of antique shops and a great selection of restaurants. Whilst in Rye its worth having a cream tea and a look around the stunning church and historical landmarks.
Heading the other direction from the property is the traditional seaside town of Hastings which also has its own pebbled beach as well as the oldest working fishing fleet in Europe. You can explore the older side of Hastings as in the popular series Foyles War through the old town and the smugglers caves. For the modern necessities there is ample shopping with the major retailers as well as good independent shops.
Hastings also offers traditional arcades and rides on the seafront as well as an award winning fish and shop.
For your day to day essentials there are shops in the village of Ore including express supermarkets and take away food outlets.
This holiday home offers the best of both worlds located in a tranquil and beautiful setting where you can relax with family and friends with amenities and attractions near by.
