The villa is located in a very quiet place with incredible views all over the island of Mallorca. The house is all stone made, in a typically Majorcan architecture. Traditional, but modern and comfortable at the same time. It has a tower and a very big and original swimming-pool.

The Mallorca/Majorca region
S’Hostalet is situated in the centre of Majorca, in one of the most peaceful and typically Majorcan areas of the island. It is very well placed, first because it is only 2 km from Vilafranca and only 5 km from Petra, both of them traditional Majorcan villages that still preserve all their old charm, and secondly because its central location makes it relatively close to anywhere on the island that you wish to visit – beaches, interior, mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana, etc.
Petra area
From the top of a hill that is 200 m high, in an area of complete peace and quiet, the houses afford a splendid view over the Plain of Majorca, the Migjorn area, and the east, with the splendid mountains of the Serra de Llevant. To the north rises the magnificent pine-covered hill of Puig de Bonany, with its beautiful chapel.
S’Hostalet is in the middle of a conservation area of great natural beauty. The houses, all of which are new, have been built to a high standard of quality, blending perfectly functionality and modern conveniences with the the rustic charm of traditional Majorcan architecture. The principal materials used are: local stone and marble, Marès (Majorcan sandstone), tiles (handpainted on the island), glass (some of which is also handmade), stainless steel, wrought iron and wood. Together, they contribute to producing houses of character, as may be seen from the accompanying photographs of the entire complex. Its L-shaped design takes maximum advantage of the light and of the superb views all around.

Further details indoors: The house, with a living area of 250 square metres, can take up to six people. They have a typical Majorcan hall, living room, study with library, two double bedrooms (one in the tower), a double bedroom that can be used by a single person, two bathrooms, kitchen, larder and a clothes washing area.
Further details outdoors: There are 500 square metres of outdoor terraces, a barbecue, a courtyard with a traditional Majorcan rainwater cistern, a centuries-old olive tree and 1000 square metres of gardens, all within an area of 18,000 square metres of wild and cultivated olive trees, almond trees and typical Mediterranean vegetation.
There is garage space for three cars.
Two features merit particular mention. First of all, the swimming pool, with its original, irregular shape and spectacular size (8 x 13 metres), its privileged position and its terrace, provides a viewing point over the entire Plain of Majorca. Secondly, from the medieval-style sandstone ramparts of the imposing stone tower next to the pool, on clear days you can see, to the south, as far as the National Maritime-Terrestrial Park of the Island of Cabrera.
