Wrens Cottage combines the best of both worlds, immaculate yet homely accommodation in a fabulous rural location with easy access to all this lovely part of England has to offer. Our local village of South Harting (1 mile)with an excellent shop, two pubs and Uppark ( National Trust ). The market town of Petersfield (3 miles) with restaurants, supermarkets, TIC, boating lake and mainline train station ( London 70 mins ). A little further afield and you will find a fascinating stretch of the South Coast including Historic Portsmouth, Chichester, Arundel and Brighton. Also the New Forest, Winchester, the South Downs, Goodwood and London.

Wrens Cottage is situated on the Sussex / Hampshire border with views of the South Downs and in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The countryside of Hampshire is dominated by farming.There are many historic market towns and villages, farms and smallholdings that combine together to create a very rural county. The New Forest is a considerable asset with its unique landscape and wild ponies. Hampshire has been the home and birthplace to some very famous people including Charles Dickens ( Portsmouth ), Jane Austin (Chawton near Alton ) and Gilbert White ( Selborne ). Historic Portsmouth is home to Admiral Nelsons ship, The Victory and Henry VIII ship The Mary Rose.

Wrens Cottage has been finished to a very high standard throughout. This single storey barn conversion has vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and underfloor heating throughout. A hallway to an open plan living area with exceptionally well equipped kitchen, a place to dine and comfortable seating. A utility room with laundry facilities, spacious bathroom with luxury shower enclosure and separate bath and finally the bedroom with fitted carpet, kingsize wrought iron bed with immaculate pillows, duvet and bedlinen.

Further details outdoors:
On arrival you will find private off road parking adjacent to the cottage. There is easy, unrestricted access to the front door.
In the living area there is a back door leading to a secluded and peaceful courtyard garden with a table and chairs and a BBQ. In the summer the garden is a perfect sun trap with some shade in the late afternoon and lighting for dining al fresco in the evening.


Further details

Welcome pack consisting of all the essentials including homemade bread and jam and free range eggs
( when the chickens oblige ) for stays of a week or more.
Complimentary tea & coffee for all guests.
Bedlinen changed weekly and towels changed twice a week.
Wrens Cottage benefits from a single level throughout and is perfect for guests with restricted mobility.


Conditions

All availability must be confirmed by phone or email prior to booking.
A 20% deposit is required to secure booking. Balance payable 8 weeks prior to stay.
The proprietor must be notified as soon as possible of any damage or breakages.
All damage and breakages must be paid for.
