Townhouse | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 4
This is an opportunity for nature lovers who want to spend relaxing holidays in contact with sea, forests, mountains, lakes, animals and flowers in Parco Nazionale del Gargano, Apulia, on the Adriatic coast in the south of Italy.
Apulia is famous for being the place where the sound of the sea and the wind are coupled with the unique, breathtaking panorama of Gargano promontory.
Here in the heart of Apulia you find Peschici, one of the most suggestive little villages of the coast.
In the pedestrian area of the centre of the village, in a narrow lane, you find Casa Eloise, an independent air-conditioned apartment on the first floor of a recently renovated house. It is about 65 m2 and consists of a living room with dining area and kitchen corner ( 4 burners, oven, big fridge with freezer), sofa, satTV , one double bedroom, one bedroom with bunk beds, bathroom with shower. 4 people can sleep in the apartment . Through a staircase you reach a private seaview terrace where you can enjoy your meals, and from here through a spiral staircase you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea from a sunny large roof terrace which is shared with the guests of Casa Michelle ( n. 5021), of the same owner's.
With a nice 10 minutes walk on a quite steepy path from the historical centre, you can reach the wide village beach where you find a beach umbrella and 2 deckchairs included in the rent. You can also arrive at the beach by car or, best of all, you can visit other small beaches along the coast, not far from the village.
Both in spring and in autumn the weather is mild and you can lie on the beach, have nice swims in the sea and get sun tanned.

The Puglia region
Apulia is famous for being the place where the sound of the sea and the wind are coupled with the unique, breathtaking panorama of Gargano promontory in the north of the region.
In Gargano nature is the queen. This hilly promontory in the north of Apulia, is strong, wild and much varied: terraced fields, olive plantations, lemons and oranges orchards, Aleppo pines, lakes, steep white coast alternating with large sandy shores, small bays, deep inlets, caves and marine cliffs. Gargano is also a 120.000 hectares National Park with forests, lagoons, marine reserves and mountains.
Every season of the year is worth a visit: choose spring if you love nature and want to look for wild asparagus and for orchids, the queens of the flower kingdom. In Gargano in the woods and hills there is the highest concentration of wild orchids in Europe: 85 species with a stunning range of colours.
Choose summer if you love sea, beaches, music, people and autumn if you appreciate mushrooms, good fish, tranquillity and silence.
You can also visit the typical “trabucchi”, antique wooden platforms designed for fishing, now most of them converted into rustic restaurants.
Apulia has lot to offer to tourists. If you love history and art Trulli di Alberobello, Grotte di Castellana, Castel del Monte, Bari, Lecce and its baroque, Sassi di Matera are within an easy reach.
Peschici and Gargano is the right place if you like to be taken up in the southern Italian atmosphere.
The village Peschici is the “gem” of Gargano, it is a cliff-top village which dates back to 950 A.D.. The village itself is a cumulous of little white houses scattered against the rock. From afar you are dazzled by the white houses in the sun; at night the village looks like a “crib”… At the foot of Peschici is a white sandy beach and, if you hire a boat, especially in spring and late summer, you discover lonely bays and coves of extraordinary charm. Excursion boats take you to “grotte” and to Tremiti islands, quite an unspoilt area with a small local community with wonderful beaches, a paradise for divers.
And what about food all year round ? The local cuisine, the typical “cucina mediterranea” is rich and varied and includes genuine flavours such as olive oil, caciocavallo and pecorino cheese, fish, tomatoes, handmade pasta….

"Wonderful return visit"
What can we say? We loved it. This was a repeat visit for us as we were here in 2012 at about the same time of year. We were delighted that our memory of the place was exactly as we recalled it. The l… More

Thank you very much for the review which gives us the opportunity to improve our services. In order to give all our current and future guests a clear picture of the situation, let us point out that:
- As stated clearly in the description, the apartment is in a pedestrian area surrounded by plenty of space available for parking also in high season: “down to pharmacia” is just the closest (50 mt) but is not the only one, it is in a normal size street (neither narrow nor steep) and has been used by inhabitants and our guests as well for years with no problem
- The cooker is working but we accept your suggestion of showing to all our guests how it is working at the arrival. Moreover, we are thinking to translate all the instruction in English and not –as till now- only the main points.
- The outside private space is a large terrace and it is private. What is not private, as clearly stated in the description, are the stairs in one of the corners going to the solarium.
- The barbeque is not part of the equipment of the house as it is clearly stated in the description but was accidentally left from previous guests.
- Sink is aged and is in porcelain, a porous material: having it crystal clear is almost impossible. We make it go through the full cleaning process as all the house every time there is a new guest.
- Noise: beside the fact that at that time the guests were the only guests, we acknowledge the advice and possible concerns when young families are around, but given the fact that the two apartments are close and some noise may be heard, we put extra attention at booking in “isolating” big families by taking just one reservation of that kind at a time.

"Great Location, Great View, Great Owners, Great Value"
This is a wonderful property in a fantastic location. The view really is as good as the pictures suggest; and we loved the crazy zigzag streets, the sounds of music wafting up in the evening, eating al fresco...and GOOD air conditioning (it was about 38C for the five days we were there). The apartment was very clean, very tidy and served our purpose beautifully. We are a family of four from Canada...including two teenage sons, so we needed enough space, and a good sized fridge. Everything was fine for us, and the two outdoor terraces really take a good property and make it great. We would certainly recommend this property to anyone looking for a fun, "old town urban" type of building with a more modern renovated inside space with conveniences. We'd love to come and stay again. Thank you! We had no complaints, though parking could be a bit of a challenge during busy periods.
Vincenzo was very helpful, and gave us a great and useful tour of the town and services after we checked in. He was also available "in the area" during our stay if we needed anything or had any questions. Also, for the information of those travellers from places where "siesta" does't exist (like in Canada), the town shuts down from 1 to 4 PM every day, but is lively well after dinner, which is really neat. The evening really is the best time to be out and about. One good secret: head down to the beach during the afternoon siesta period. At that time of the day its not crowded and you can have your choice of loungers and umbrellas. It gets much busier after 5 PM.
