Home description
The holiday home is a brand new 3 bedroom apartment set on the second floor. A wonderful big veranda which goes round from the living area to the kitchen. Fully furnished with dining table, chairs, sofabed and all the necessary kitchen appliences you will need to make this a home away from home. The apartment has an en-suite shower and toilet to the master bedroom. All bedrooms have fully fitted wardrobes. The apartment can sleep upto six people. There are 2 double beds and single bed also a sofa bed in the living room. The living area is all open plan with the kitchen making it very comfortable and spacious to accommodate everyone. The complex has a swimming pool and a gym and there is plenty of parking in the complex too. The Larnaca District
The weather in Cyprus is consistently hot in the summer months and very mild in the winter months. There are at least 330 days of sunshine a year.
The language is mainly Greek, but English is widely spoken on the Island. Driving is on the left hand side and the law structure in Cyprus is based on the UK law.
The Cyprus Pound and Cents is the local currency. On 1st May 2004, Cyprus joined the EU and is now a full EU member. The EU currency will be legal tender from January 2008.
Entertainment in general is very good with several bars and tavernas practically everywhere you go!
There are several places of interest in Cyprus with archaeological ruins and plenty of museums. Larnaca boasts the amazing salt lakes with many migrating birds (incl. flamengos) arriving from all over the world. Go-karting is available in the Larnaca district. The old Castle in Larnaca at the end of the Finegoues Promenade offers international as well as local culture of plays, music and dance events to cater for all discerning visitors.
Larnaca town is around 12kms (15 mins drive) from Pervolia where the lively "Finegoues" (Palm Tree) promenade can be found. You're spolt for choice with the numerous Greek Cypriot and international restaurants and takeaways e.g. McDonalds, KFC, Costa Coffee, Starbucks, ice-cream parlours, bars and nightclubs. There are many local shops and major UK shops in the centre of Larnaca which cater for all tastes incl M&S, Next, Debenhams and Mothercare.
A visit to St Lazarus church in Larnaca is a must.
A visit to the capital Nicosia is worth a trip for shopping and for museums. Ayia Napa's infamous nightlife and water park and Protaras' golden sandy safe water beaches are all within 30 minutes drive. A day trip (or two days) to theTroodos Mountains to visit the vineyards, monastries, waterfalls and villages should not be missed. The pine cladded shady mountains provide relief from the hot sun during the summer. The ski resorts and ski lift at Troodos opens up during the winter months for skiers.
Pervolia area
Pervolia has not been explored yet by the mainstream tourist industry yet; hence its quiet, laidback atmosphere. Activities are centred around the numerous tavernas and restaurants in the square. There are numerous festivals throughout the year, one in particular is the 'Festival of the Okra' marking the okra season in July! During the Festival, there is live street music and dancing and a buffet, featuring the infamous okra, can be purchased for a set price. During the summer months, there is a beach B-B-Q buffet every Friday night at the Meneou Tourist Beach Kiosk only 5 minutes drive.
A bakery (selling essential food groceries), ice-cream parlour, cafe/take-away restaurant has now opened up across the road from the villa. There are more small shops, banks and services in and around Pervolia. There is an internet cafe in Pervolia run by an ex pat.
There is also a nice little pub run by a Fulham fan and it's great if you want to catch up with all premiership football.
There is a lovely little beach area in Faros Village just a 5 minute drive from the apartment. Turn left out of the apartment and stay on the road for 5-7mins and you will see Faros Village on your left. You can hire sunbeds, do water sports and go for walks along the beach. The water is clean and the beach is sandy.
How to get there
Cyprus Airways from Heathrow, Stansted and Gatwick. Several chartered flights to Larnaca with Thomas Cook, Monarch, Excalibar, JMC, Air 2000, Thomsons. No frill airlines 'Flyglobespan' now flies into Larnaca from Stanstead Airport at competitive prices. Larnaca Airport is only 6km from Pervolia. Car hire advised: www.petsas.com.cy - www.opodo.co.uk - www.cyploncarhire.com - www.easycar.com. Taxi transfer from airport to the flat cost approx 20Euros.

Further details indoors: The apartment is fully air conditioned with individual units in the living room and the 3 bedrooms. There is also a separate bathroom as well as the en-suite. The apartment was completed in September 2007 so everything about this apartment is new. It's clean and finised to a high standard. There is also an outdoor dining table with 4 chairs on the balcony. There is also all necessary cleaning equipment situated in the apartment.
Further details
£300 GBP deposit by cheque is required in the event of any damages to the property or the contents. We will refund the money once we have inspected the property and everything is in order. We would aslo appreciate if you can smoke only outside on the balcony and not in the apartment. If there is a any smoke damage in the property we will not refund the deposit. We will also arrange a free of charge welcome pack of basic food and drink and a map of cyprus to get you started. If you would like to stay for more than 2 weeks at any time then we can negotiate a special price.
Conditions
30% of rental fee due six weeks before your stay to secure booking. There is a lift in the apartment building providing wheelchair access.
