Home description

Our summer house is located just two minutes’ walk from the beach, on the outskirts of the town often referred to as one of Cyprus’s new developing tourist areas. Quiet and peaceful, yet only fifteen minutes from Larnaca town the house has easy access to all amenities, including the local market for bargain hunting, and many excellent restaurants for eating out.
Eventhough our house is semi-detached it benefits from its own private yard and BBQ. Leading from the master bedroom is a small balcony with stunning sea-green views, furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to have your drink al fresco. With one double and one twin bedroom, the house is ideal for families with young kids (safety door at stairs, scroller, beach toys and other available), with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.

The Larnaca District

Larnaca region in general enjoys very good weather. During winter temperatures can vary between 4-25 C, in spring and autumn between 12-30 C and in summer between 25-40 C. More specifically our house area it can be mild during summer and it enjoys el fresco sea air.
Pervolia village is a small, picturesque community located close to the shores of Cape Kiti.It is worth noting that although the village is within easy reach of the airport, it does not suffer from the type of noise polution which characterises other venues around Larnaca, such as Makenzy for instance
Close to the village can be found Pervolia Beach, an uncrowded stretch of beautiful sand where visitors can enjoy sunbathing or swimming in the shallow waters of the Mediterranean Sea.
Furthermore, only a few yards from the beach, the pool-side bar of the Faros Holiday village(2 min. walk from the house) provides refreshments on those long, sunny afternoons.With a population of around 1,500 residents, it is a village where local traditions and customs are still very much alive.
During the long, hot summer evenings the village centre is alive with both locals and visitors enjoying the hospitality of the local establishments and cheerfully interacting with one another in a way which is now rarely seen in many Mediterranean destinations


Pervolia area

Pervolia offers good opportunities to eat traditional food in real authentic village setting. It also has pubs, traditional coffee shops, banks and various shops and supermarkets.
*Furthermore between May 04-06 a festival is organised in the village for the favor of St. Irine that includes many traditional activities, selling of traditional food, nuts and sweets.
* During July there is another festival in the village with live music and street dancing.
* in May visit the Cyprus 33rd International Fair in Nicosia. Big event, many countries around the world participate. A big "party" with singing, dancing, buffets and fast foods, luna parks etc.
**In June a very big festival (FLOOD) is organised in Larnaca palm trees area which is ideal for all ages. It includes live shows, famous singers from Greece and elsewhere, boat trips, sailing competitions, parades, lots of food and drinks etc..It is highly recomented. .
* During August 14-15 a festival is organised in a village near Pervolia (only 10 min. drive) named Kiti.
* First weekend of Sept DO NOT miss the WINE festival. Free unlimited cyprus wine to all!
*Only 10 min drive at a nearby village called Mazotos, kids can enjoy an unforgettable day by visiting the Camel Park. There they can ride the camels, feed them and then play in their organized playing area. A nice restaurant nearby offers drinks and food. Also during summer you can spent your day there since it has a swimming pool as well.
*Every Friday evening and sunday noon(mostly during summer) there is a beach party that includes buffet only 15 min. walking from the house. An ordering menu is kept for your reference in the house.
*A big bakery/confectionery /gelateria/food take away /restaurant and convenience store only 3 min walk from the house. A small mini-market is only 5 min. walk from the house
A full information welcome pack with emergency numbers, places of interest, maps, etc. will be available in the house for you. Do not hesitate to ask owner to assist you according to your interests

Our house in only 15 min. drive from Larnaca Airport and about 70-90 min. from Paphos.
There are a lot of car hire companies offering services at the airport (like Hertz, Europcar, Budget etc) but the owner can definitely give you more information on this subject at due time. Please set the duration of requiring a car and the type of the car you would like to hire and the owner will give you very competitive price (from locals) and models to choose. In an efford to help their guests, owners can search the cheapest offer available. The car will be waiting for you at the airport.

Dual air condition in bedrooms is considered as extra cost and this cost it is approved by the Cyprus Tourist Organisation to be GBP£3 (or 5 euro) per day per unit. Please note that air condition is only needed in July and August, particularly at noon times. Evenings can be cool and airy and you can always use your ceiling and other portable fan. You can avoid paying this in advance, check the weather and then contact the owner to come and start the units for you. Pay instantly.
However, guests arriving from 8:00 pm -8:00 am will be benefited from a richer welcome food pack with basic groceries, and breakfast necesities free of charge due to late arrival. Other arrivals will have a welcome pack as well, some drinks free, which can be tea (mostly English Brands), French coffee, frappe, Nescafe, beer, Cyprus wine (corkscrew available)or other refreshments. Ask for details on due time.
In case you need adaptors for your mobiles or labtops please do not hesitate to ask.
Owners give great attention to hygiene. All linen and towers are taken to laundry for professional cleaning. The house will be delivered to you clean and in order to achieve this the owner used high quality cleaning products antibacterial and strong detergents. Speaking of hygiene owners have decided to request from guests to bring along their own travelling cot.
This is a non-smoking house and owners kindly request their guests to smoke outside when this can not be totally avoided. Two smoke detectors are set downstairs.
First Aid bag available.
Please note that for health and safety reassons there are no gas appliances throghout the house.

Further details outdoors:
Very well maintained garden with BBQ and a good level of privacy as it is half of it fenced and rest full of trees. A confortuble outdoor salony with four chairs with thick cousions and a round table is available too. Neighbours visit their summer houses rarely thus it ensures many quiet moments. A sunbed with mattress is also available. Bicycles upon request and a possilbe fee. Also a small plastic table that sits 4 small kids ages 16 months to 6 years.


Further details

The owner organises a "Meet the Owners" evening that includes a free traditional diner under two conditions though. Guests should speak adequate English or Greek and have a kid or kids age ranges 8-12 years old.
The dinner will include kleftiko (lamb baked in our traditional clay oven with herbs and spices), that is situated outside our fenced yard and can only be used by an expert, or BBQ, kebab and seftalia (mince meat sausages with herbs) salad, bread or pitta, cypriot yogurt, tahini (ground sesame seed dip) halloumi cheese, ravioli, Cyprus wine and dessert. Menu can change upon request. Vegetarian dishes available too. Cookery lessons, during that evening, on Cyprus specialities can be requested too.
