Large outside wooden table with six chairs. Outdoor open air shower with hot and cold water. Landscaped gardens with palm trees and shrubs and private swimming pool with corner walk-in steps for the disabled or young children. The pool is swallow one end and dips to deep at the other.
Note: Children should be supervised at all times when using the pool as the pool area is NOT fenced off.
The property is ideal for those wishing to escape the bright lights and the bustle of the busy resorts. One of its outstanding qualities valued by ourselves, our neighbours and our guests, is its tranquility and offers the visitor privacy and seclusion. But for the sound of the sea and the rustle of the breeze in the palms there is little that could disturb guests. This could prove restricting for children.

Conditions
100 GB pounds deposit (non-refundable) immediately upon booking to secure the rental booking which is deducted from the total cost. Remaining balance to be paid six weeks prior to arrival.
200 GB pounds deposit (cheque) is required in the event of damage to the property and/or its contents which will be banked. Should no breakage/damage occur, a cheque will be returned in full.

Entertainment in general is very good with several bars and tavernas practically everywhere you go!
There are several places of interest in Cyprus with archaeological ruins and plenty of museums. Larnaca boasts the amazing salt lakes with many migrating birds (incl. flamengos) arriving from all over the world. Go-karting and camel riding is available in the Larnaca district. The old Castle in Larnaca at the end of the Finegoudes Promenade offers international as well as a local array of plays, music and dance events to cater for all discerning visitors. A visit to St Lazarus church in Larnaca next to the castle is a must.
Larnaca town is around 12kms (15 mins drive) from Pervolia where the lively "Finegoudes" (Palm Tree) promenade can be found. You're spolt for choice with numerous Greek Cypriot and international restaurants and takeaways e.g. McDonalds, KFC, Costa Coffee, Starbucks, TGI Fridays, ice-cream parlours, bars and nightclubs. There are many local shops and major UK shops in the centre of Larnaca which cater for all tastes incl M&S, Next, Debenhams and Mothercare.
A visit to the capital Nicosia is worth a trip for shopping and for museums. Ayia Napa's infamous nightlife and water park are all within a 30 minute drive. A two day trip driving through the villages to Troodos Mountains and visiting the vineyards, monastries, waterfalls, picturesque villages and stopping off to eat and drink at local tavernas is not to be missed. The pine cladded shady mountains provide relief from the hot sun during the summer. The ski resorts and ski lift at Troodos Mountains operate during the winter months for avid skiers.
The Pervolia area
Pervolia has not been explored yet by the mainstream tourist industry yet; hence its quiet, laidback atmosphere. Activities are centred around the numerous tavernas and restaurants in the square. There are numerous festivals throughout the year. During the summer months, there is a beach B-B-Q buffet every Friday night at the Meneou Tourist Beach Kiosk only 5 minutes drive in Faros Avenue.
There are a selection of small local shops, banks, internet cafe and services in and around Pervolia and Kiti. You'll also find the French supermarket chain "Carrefour" in Cyprus; two of which are local in Dromolaxia (enroute to/from airport and villa) and in Kiti Village.
Water sports, sunchairs and refreshments on the beach (fees apply) are available in the safe shallow and sandy cove, ten minutes walk along the beach between April and October.
There is a tennis academy in Meneou located between the airport and villa.
Highly recommended are the spa treatments available at the newly opened E-Hotel opposite the lighthouse in Faros Avenue towards Kiti village five minutes drive from the villa.

My Husband, my twin two-year olds and I stayed at this property for 3 1/2months (late September, October, November and December). I'll first say that the location is amazing! Apollon Gardens Phase I and II are beautiful, quiet, family-friendly neighborhoods just a short jaunt to the beach. The sea water is warm year-round so a morning swim is a must! The house is only a couple of km from Pervolia proper (you CAN walk but you'll probably want a car on the island) And a short drive to the nearest grocer. The town is lovely with lots of restaurants and amenities. About the house: while the quality of the water in the pool is very well maintained (thanks to the diligent caretaker, Roy) the liner on the bottom is coming up and the sides of the pool are very dirty (I don't know the reason for this because the scum lessens when the pool water wets it). The garden is strewn with trash from previous visitors (broken pool skimmer, old ripped pool floats) and debris that has collected...an eye sore for sure. While the kitchen is well stocked with gadgets, utensils and dishes it is completely disorganized with random items thrown into each cabinet. The cabinets do not smell good (like small animals have been in them). I worry about the cleanliness at the backs of those cabinets. The dishwasher leaves dishes smelling bad and we had to clear the jets of lime scale nearly every use in order for water to even touch the dishes. I would recommend hand washing. The ants that plague this property are a real nuisance, they come in under the doors (none seal) and through cracks in the walls and around windows. We woke up one morning to thousands of ants that infested our kids' toy box. There is water damage in every room in the house, there are areas of the ceiling upstairs and around the foundation downstairs where the ceiling and walls are crumbling. Our biggest thing that became an issue was MOLD. In the wet season (starting late this past year in mid-November) it rains every day. We watched as mold accumulated on the walls and around windows in the foyer despite our efforts to diligently clean. Mold even became an issue on our bed linens if they weren't changed nearly daily. None of the doors nor windows seal so there was no way to keep the wet out. Also, prices for this property are HIGHLY inflated. Negotiate the price WAY down or work with a broker, you can definitely find a better price. Ultimately, if you were to visit high summer for a short period and planned to sunbathe and sightsee and eat at restaurants you will probably have a wonderful time at this property but don't expect it to look like the photos posted on this page (from several years ago). The house has just barely been maintained so don't expect it to be very clean. If you can overlook the mess this can be a nice property. I worry about this place with kids...it's just not safe for little ones. |
