The apartment "Special" is located on the hearth of the historical Centre of Perugia.Consists of a large dining-sitting room with an old fireplace, a large and sunny modern 2 bedrooms with internal bathroom and wardrobe.
Living in the heart of historic Centre offers a lot of opportunities. You can simply walk along Corso Vannucci and plunge yourself in the crowd of people - during the beautiful season - passing up and down the large street - traffic cars is not allowed here - or visit and buy in the numeros shops and boutiques. Moreover there are cinemas, theatres, cafès, restaurants,pubs and clubs where you can live the evenings and the nights of the town.
One minute of Metro (100 metres) is the biggest pool in Perugia.

Umbria, a region to visit and live intensively...
Spello, Bevagna, Trevi, Montefalco, Assisi Perugia, Foligno , Spoleto, Gubbio, Città di Castello, Todi,Orvieto, Norcia, Monti Sibillini and many other small villages are all worth to be known and discovered by tourist coming in the region.Not only for the richness of their history, their museums, churches, historic buildings of Roman, Etruscan or Medieval origins, but even for the natural places of the surroundings. The natural landscape in Umbria has a great part in showing the beauty of this region: the Cascata delle Marmore and Lago di Piediluco near Terni or the Trasimeno Lake near Perugia, the hills, the small mountains, the natural park of Monti Sibillini,.. Extraordinary synthesis of art, nature and history, it offers great opportunities to live holidays like an authentic experience. Assisi is in 20 km,like trasimeno lake.
The landscape is in great part made of small hills and plains, the climate in the North has cold winters and fresh summers, in the South it is a little bit warm in summer.

Locals are extremely friendly; they have long been accustomed to the presence of visitors from other countries as Perugia is the home of the prestigious University for Foreigners for Italian Language Studies...

How to get there

The property is located on the hearth of the historic centre of Perugia. It is easily reachable:

The nearest airports in ascending order of distance away are:
- Perugia 15km served by Alitalia and Ryanair from 20th December 2006.
- Forli 149km served by Ryanair and advertised by them as Bologna/Forli.
- Ancona 155km served by Ryanair.
- Florence155km served by Alitalia and Meridiana.
- Rome Ciampino 1800km served by Ryanair and Easyjet.
- Rome Fiumicino 200km served by British Airways and Alitalia and many other carriers.
- Bologna 245km served by British Airways and Easyjet.
- Pisa 270km served by British Airways, Easyjet, Ryanair, Alitalia, Thomson Fly.
Car hire companies are available at all these airports
There are railway stations at Pisa, Fiumicino, and Ciampino airports.

By train, the rail station Perugia Fontivegge is at 1 km,

By car from the exit Perugia-San Faustino of E45 Dual carriage way direction "Centro",

By air from the airport of Perugia S.Egidio at 15 km. Every day there are buses connecting Perugia to Rome where are airports "Fiumicino" and "Ciampino",

The house is easily reachable by public transport services, in Piazza Italia there is the APM (Azienda Perugina della Mobilità) bus terminal. The rail station is 1 km far and is now also reachable by the new "minimetro" public transport service at central and last stop "Pincetto" (100 metres from the apartment).

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Perugia. The Historical centre a fascinating area of the city, full of atmosphere and a sense of history. All of my family, from the oldest to the youngest, found lots to do, from tennis, cycling and go-karting for the children, to museums and galleries for the older ones. The people were friendly and welcoming, and the flat was very comfortable and well equipped. The city has a lovely relaxed feel about it, and the hot and sunny weather was ideal for holiday makers from Scotland! Even when it rained, I didn't mind because it was so warm. I will definitely be recommending Perugia to my friends.
