HOME DESCRIPTION La Torre di Santa Giuliana is a beautifully restored c.11th tower, church and house, with 360' panoramic views of the Umbrian hills. The house is elegantly furnished throughout. One can dine indoors under the c.15th frescoes, in one of two outdoor 'piazzas' surrounded by olive trees and forest-clad hills or by the swimming pool. There are 3 spacious bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with bath and showers in the main house. The deconsecrated church has 2 large sofa beds for extra accommodation. The house is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, within the conservation area of Castello di Antognolla. There are spectacular walks in any direction from the house. Monte Tezio, Monte Cucco and Monte Subasio are just a few of the breath-taking mountains you can walk or climb.

THE UMBRIA REGION La Torre provides an idyllic location for discovering the beauty of Umbria. The hill towns of Umbria each have their own special treasures of history, culture and cuisine to discover. Some of the 'musts' are Gubbio, Assisi, Perugia,Todi, Spello, Orvieto and Spoleto. Lake Trasimeno (30 mins) has swimming beaches, water-sports and boat trips to its island Monastery.
Perugia area
Umbertide is the nearest town, 10 km, historic and full of interesting shops, restaurants, and a weekly market. TORRE DI SANTA GIULIANA/ UMBERTIDE AREA Umbertide is within an easy 15 minute drive, for all your food shopping and local market. In Umbria, art, food, music, and festivals are plentiful. Exceptional architecture can be experienced in Assisi, Gubbio, Perugia, Todi, Spoleto, San Sepolcro and Cortona, all within easy driving distance. You will find Giotto's frescoes in Assisi to Piero della Francesca's greatest paintings in Arezzo. Spectacular festivals include the archery contest, Palio della Ballestra and the Ceri Race in the Medieval hill-top town of Gubbio. Spello's flower festival, the 'Infiorati' has to be seen, to be believed. The streets are turned into carpets of petals depicting dazzling images of every hue and tone. The renowned Umbria Jazz Festival is held in Perugia as is dance, opera and out-door concerts at the Spoleto Festival. For food lovers there is always something going on, be it a Chocolate Fair, a Porcini Festival or the Chestnut Festival at Montone in the Autumn.
