Home description
La Macina di Bettona is a small farm holiday apartment complex offering various solutions for it's guests(See other homes from this owner). It is an ideal base for visiting the many historical towns and villages of Umbria and Southern Tuscany, or for just relaxing by the pool, set in the olive grove. Il Raggio is a large ground floor apartment with 2 double bedrooms.It has a shower room, and very spacious lounge/kitchen with double settee bed.The apartment is tastefully decorated throughout and has it's own entrance plus covered portico suitable for outside eating. It also has a small sloping garden which can be accessed from the lounge.The BBQ area is close by.

The Umbria region

Perugia / Bettona area
The village of Bettona is situated high on the hill, enclosed within the etruscan walls, looking towards Assisi, Perugia and Spello.It lies approx 2km from La Macina di Bettona. The village has 2 very good restaurants. At the end of July Bettona hosts its' famous Goose Festa, where it is possible to try some of the many local delicacies, whilst being entertained in the village square by a local band. Passaggio di Bettona a small village(2km away),has everything that is necessary to enhance one's stay at La Macina di Bettona. e.g Bank, well stocked small supermarket,petrol station, bakery, take away, chemist, restaurant and internet point.
How to get there
Cheap flights available with Ryanair 3 times a week, from 20th Dec 2006 to Perugia airport(approx 20 km). Alternatively fly to Pisa or either of the 2 Rome airports, all of which are just over 2 hours drive away. Try Ryanair or Easyjet for low cost flights or Alitalia or B.A Car hire is available when booking flights or can be prebooked at destination airport.

Further details outdoors: Il Raggio apartment is set on the hill below Bettona and has far reaching views to Assisi and beyond. There is a BBQ area just outside the front door. The 7m x 15m pool can be reached by crossing the quiet country lane at the bottom of the drive.(50m).The pool is surrounded by a furnished patio area set within a lavender and rose garden. A children's play area is situated just below the pool, surrounded by olive trees.

The swimming pool is open from 20th May to 30th September 2007. Swimming caps must be worn in the pool.
