A small complex of family run apartments situated on the hill below the etruscan village of Bettona opposite Assisi(approx 12km).La Macina di Bettona is an ideal base for either visiting the many historical towns and villages of Umbria, or for just relaxing by the pool set in the olive grove.
The farmhouse is divided into 3 apartments with the possibility of renting a fourth apartment within the grounds.(See other homes from this owner).
L'Agogio is a large upper floor apartment with far reaching views which can be admired from the 2 terraces, both of which are suitable for outdoor eating.This apartment has 3 double bedrooms,2 bathrooms with shower and a fully fitted kitchen/diner with double sofa bed.In the garden there is a BBQ area.,and within the olive grove, a children's playground and a shared 7m x 15m pool with surrounding furnished sun patio.

The Umbria region

Umbria, better known as the green heart of Italy has so very much to offer to whoever decides to visit.Be it for a cultural holiday or just a peaceful break away from it all.This region is steeped in history offering the visitor an incredible number of beautiful and historical places to visit and enjoy.
Assisi, Todi,Montefalco, Spoleto to name but a few.
The balmy summer evenings are enlivened by the numerous village festas held throughout the region.

Perugia / Bettona area

The village of Bettona is situated high up on the hill, enclosed within the etruscan walls,looking towards Assisi, Perugia and Spello.
The village has two very good restaurants within 5 minutes of La Macina di Bettona.
At the end of July, Bettona hosts its' famous Goose Festa, where it is possible to try some of the many local delicacies,whilst being entertained by a local band in the village square.
The village of Passaggio(2km) offers all the services needed to enhance your stay, e.g well stocked supermarket, petrol station, bank, bakery, take away and internet point.
Assisi, the home of St Francis is just a 20 minute drive away, whilst Spello, Bevagna, Perugia,Orvietro as well as many other towns, are all within easy driving distance.

How to get there

-Cheap flights available with Ryanair 3 times a week from 20th Dec 2006 to Perugia Airport(Approx 20km)
-Alternatively fly to Pisa(approx 2.5 hours by car) or either of the 2 Rome airports(approx just over 2 hours by car)
Try Ryanair,Easyjet, BA or Alitalia for flights.
-Car hire available when booking flights or prebooked at destination airport

The farmhouse is set in grounds that are shared between the 3 apartments,however each apartment has it's own entrance and own furnished patio for outdoor eating, close to the BBQ area.There is a children's play area in the olive grove below the house and pool.

The swimming pool is open from 20th of May to 30th September.
Swimming caps must be worn in the pool.
Electricity, gas and water consumption are included in the price,plus end of stay cleaning
