This recently modernised, well equipped apartment has two twin bedrooms and one double. There is a main bathroom and one en suite shower room. The kitchen/ dining room is modern and has a dish washer, washer drier, micro wave and fridge. The large sitting room has a large bay window overlooking the centre of the village and comfortable seating and furnishings. This is an ideal central location for exploring the magnificent scenery of the Scottish Highlands. Braemar and Balmoral Castle 80 kilometers drive away is an exciting day out. There are numerous magnificent gardens to visit throughout the area.The well market footpath known as the "Cateran Trail" passes through the village. Ideal for a short "away from it all" break.

The Central Scotland/Edinburgh region
The Scottish Highlands is known for it's dramatic mountains and splendid castles. The apartment is close to may of both and is an ideal base for exploring the area.
Kirkmichael is far from the main centres of population, with no light pollution, and is a great place to view the stars on a clear night.
Perthshire is known as Big Tree Country and there are several interesting gardens within easy reach of the apartment.The Meikleour Beech hedge is the tallest hedge in the world and absolutely splendid in autumn. Fascally Wood is a wonderful place for a stroll and the view of Scheihallion from Queen's view is well worth seeing.
The selection of activities in the area includes riding, paintballing, skiing and rafting.
Perthshire / Kirkmichael area
Regular season highlights include Perth Festival of the Arts, the Scottish Game Fair, Perth Show, Blair Castle International Horse Trials and Country Fair, the Glenfiddich Piping and Fiddling Championships and the ever popular Strathardle Gathering. There is a varied programme of events at Perth and Pitlochry Theatres and regular meetings at Perth Racecourse.
The area is renowned for remarkable natural beauty and a diverse range of habitats that support an astonishing array of plants, animals and birds. When you're out and about it's easy to see many fascinating species including those that we think of as characteristically Scottish. Bluebells nodding in the breeze, a butterfly or the briefest glimpse of a red deer stag, red squirrel or leaping salmon can add considerably to your enjoyment and provide memories to last a lifetime.Perthshire's champion trees, which include Europe's oldest living thing and the widest conifer in Britain, are amazing specimens. The sight of the 100-feet high Meikleour Beech Hedge - the tallest in the world - freshly dressed in millions of vivid green leaves is one to marvel at.
The area boasts many Adventure activities and as well as the traditional activities of walking, cycling, angling and golf boasts an additional and unrivalled range of unique outdoor experiences - all within easy reach of Kirkmichael and all with a firm accent on safety and FUN.
Glenshee ski slopes are a short drive away from Kirkmichael.
How to get there
Range of airlines fly into either Edinburgh or Glasgow and are both approximately 100 kilometers from Kirkmichael. Ferry from mainland Europe to Rosyth and an easy drive from there to Kirkmichael.
