The Western Australia / Perth Metro Area
Western Australia is full of Golden beaches stretching the coast line. Perth city is one of the cleanest cities of the world, with a mixture of old and new. Shopping in the city is great with late night shopping on Friday nights, then enjoy a few drinks or an a la carte meal in Northbridge/Leederville, all within walking distance to the train station.
On a Sunday catch the train down to Freemantle and enjoy the huge markets varying from food through to clothes or even buy your Aussie Souvenirs.
For those more daring try the Freemantle Night Prison tour, or simply the maritime museum.
Then don't forget to spend a day and catch the Train, bus and ferry to Perth Zoo.
Perth / Butler area
The beaches of the Northern Suburbs are excellent...fine white sand and clear warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Hillary's boat harbour is a 20min drive away where there is an excellent safe beach for children along with water slides, crazy golf, trampolines, etc. There is a selection of restaurants/cafe's along with a variety of shops.
Butler is situated approximately 1km from the sea and a 5min stroll to the shopping centre, a doctor’s surgery is also within this shopping centre. A 5min drive to the nearest train station which runs directly into Perth city, a 5min drive will take you to beautiful Mindarie Keys where the popular “Boat” fish restaurant and bar is located along with several other eateries and speciality shops.
How to get there
Butler is situated approximately 60km and an estimated 40-45min drive north of Perth City. Joondalup City Centre is approximately 15km from Butler.
Taxi costs from Perth Airport to Mindarie will be approximately $70 (dependant on the time of travel in the day or night and traffic conditions). Car hire is available upon request at Perth Airport - a website link to view is www.perthairport.com.au
