Perth / Belmont area
Belmont is 7 kilometres east of Perth City, a short stroll to the Swan River where, as mentioned above, there are many activities to choose from. It is a very safe, peaceful, well established suburb. Many amenities are very close by such as Burswood Casino with its International Hotel & Convention Centre, the huge Belmont Forum Shopping Mall, movie theaters, restaurants, the superb Belmont Oasis Leisure Centre with its indoor and outdoor pools, state of the art gym, spa/sauna, all the features you would expect from a top end sports and leisure centre (www.belmontoasis.com.au). There is also Karting close by and beautiful parks. Belmont is the home of horse racing here in Perth. With weekly events at Ascot and Belmont Park race courses.
For children there are many under the sun activities close by. Local parks, a skateboard park, swimming, cycling, rollerblading, or a spot of fishing (rods can be provided). There is also a Child Care Centre close by that can offer occasional care (please check first).
