This modern 3 bedroom cottage is situated within the walled garden area of our grounds, facing south/west to catch evening as well as all day sun.. Orchard Cottage has been designed to accommodate comfortably assisted disabled visitors as well as able bodied. We have a double bedded room and full bathroom with separate shower on the ground floor, the bathroom is large to enable ease of movement, we can also supply personal aids to help with mobility, please ask for details should you require these. All downstairs floors are hard natural flooring with rugs which can be removed if necessary, we also have a high seated chair for the less able.
Upstairs we have a twin bedded room and the Master Bedroom with King sized bed and en-suite shower room.
We have recently added a log burner to the Garden Room which has a vaulted ceiling and floors in solid oak. This has a slated roof and is fully heated for all year round use giving lots of living space, we have made this into the Main Lounge , the existing Lounge/Snug also has a coal fire, ideal for cosy evenings , both rooms now have television. There is a large Dining Kitchen with dishwasher and a separate Utility Room with washer and dryer, ideal for pets, there is also an enclosed back garden , decking and ample parking to the front.

Upstairs is a galleried hallway, double bedroom and en-suite shower room, making this cottage ideal for 2 couples or a family. We also supply free of charge a cot, high chair and folding bed if required.
The cottage has full gas central heating, all costs of power, heating, linen and towels are included in our rates, as are a bucket of coal and all logs you may require for the fire. We are pet friendly and we like to think we can accommodate pets of any kind, by prior arrangement. We do advise common sense rules to pets on arrival.
Orchard Cottage has satellite TV with several movie channels as well as DVD and CD players and discs. We also have a collection of books and games. We supply ample crockery and utensils for entertaining.

The Tayside/Perthshire region
Perth is a thriving and beautiful city, situated in the very heart of Scotland; all major Scottish cities are within a 2 hour drive and easily within daily visiting range. There is much to see and do in the local area, Perth is famed for its gardens and floral displays in season, with abundant golf courses close by, Gleneagles around 20 minutes and St Andrews well within an hours drive. Fishing on the famous River Tay and in many other local locations, we are convenient for Skiing and Shooting during winter and many summer attractions including Highland Games and Agricultural Shows. We have Horse Racing at Scone Palace from April until September and also the famous Game Fair held annually.
Perth-shire is also famous for Scotch Whiskey of course with the smallest distillery Edradour and The Famous Grouse Experience near at hand, as well as numerous others to visit. We have many local monuments and Castles, including Huntingtower Castle on our own doorstep, Scone Palace and Blair Castle to name but a few.
Both Orchard and Stable Cottages are in a peaceful location yet very convenient for Perth City and also North/South road networks. We pride ourselves in having everything you would normally need in our cottages and a whole lot more, just bring your personal items. Both cottages are pet friendly and we consider pets of any kind, given prior notice of course. Buses run locally from the end of the drive and taxis are a very small charge to the city if required.
We have a local Tesco open 24 hours and a local pub 5 minutes walk away as well as the local Huntingtower Hotel for a more formal setting. Perth has many award winning restaurants as well as a great choice of eating places to suit all tastes.
Local to the cottage we have nice walks along the river Almond and to Huntingtower Castle, which is open all year round and has a custodian to show you round and give all the local history. The Castle holds wedding ceremonies and bagpipes can often be heard, especially at weekends. We have the lovely country Huntingtower Hotel within half a mile and also a new pub around 10 minutes walk which serves food all day. Tesco Extra is 5 minutes drive away, this is open 24 hours, 7 days.
We also have our own private pond where you can sit and enjoy the wildlife and simply relax.
The 'Fair City' as Perth is known boasts many local historical attractions, including Scone Palace, Balhousie Black Watch Museum, to name but a few. Also Perth Museum and Arty Gallery, Ferguson Gallery and Frames Gallery for those interested in art. Locally we have Blair Castle which holds the horse trials annually in August., Glamis Castle which has a varied list of events each year.
Perth has the countries most northern race course at Scone Palace with horses running at meetings from April until September each year, a wonderful day out , the annual Game Fair is also held there each July and Farming Yesteryear in September. Perth has is own Agricultural show in August and also Highland Games of which there are many held locally throughout the summer months.
Perth is famous for its gardens and floral displays, having won many awards in the past. We hold farmers markets regularly and also a continental street market various times a year. Both market towns of Crieff and Pitlochry are around 30 minutes drive.
Running through Perth is the River Tay which is famous for Salmon Fishing, the river itself can be viewed and enjoyed for various points in Tay Street which has several restaurants. We have a Leisure Pool and Ice Rink, which is famous for curling and many golf courses with St Andrews the 'Home of Golf' only 40 minutes drive away and the famous 'Gleneagles' with all its leisure facilities, around 20 minutes drive, also many other places to play golf or for fishing.
There are many interesting places to shop in Perth itself, also 'House of Bruar' around 40 minutes drive, where you can spend the day browsing around the different departments from clothing to antiques and enjoy a spot of lunch. Perth has restaurants and cafes to suit all tastes and pockets as well as many take-aways which will deliver directly to the cottages.
