The Western Australia region

The swan Valley is just a 25 minute drive to the City Centre of Perth and it is the second closest Wine Region to any capital city in the World. It is also Australia's most compact. It boasts many award winning wineries, fine food, fascinating history, amazing art, amazing bush walks, and lively events such as the Avon Descent, Western Mud Rush, Concerts, equestrian events, track cycling world championships, all set against the stunning scenery of our Swan Valley.

Brigadoon sits on the edge of the Darling Scarp adjacent to the entrance to the Avon Valley through which the Avon River flows. The Bells Rapids is a popular viewing location for the annual Avon Descent whitewater race

The Swan Valley's history is rich with Aboriginal and European heritage, this family heritage is still very much a part of the Swan Valley lifestyle today. The Swan Valley is the states oldest wine producer, one of three towns settled by Captain James Stirling in 1820 is part of the original Swan River Colony. The 32 kilometre scenic drive encompasses more than 150 places to eat and drink including relaxed winery cafes, busy breweries, fine dining and in the summer months many road side stalls selling just picked fresh local produce. The region is also home to world class art galleries and various family friendly activities including a wildlife park and cycle trails.
