Primrose Cottage is a new holiday let for 2014 with new soft furnishings throughout. It's a charming property, perfect for couples, families and dog-owners alike. It enjoys a quiet location in the village of Perranwell Station overlooking the small primary school, a 5-minute walk from the centre of the village. It has generous indoor and outdoor space and there is ample off-road parking for two cars in front of the property which is separated from the road by large wooden gates. It is possible to park a 25-ft boat on the drive.
Downstairs, the large lounge has a granite fireplace and woodburner, two large sofas and a separate area with reclining chair. There is also a TV with DVD player, CD player and iPod docking station as well as books, DVDs and games provided for visitors. Free wi-fi is also provided.
The well-equipped kitchen has an electric double oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and ornamental Rayburn, and the adjacent dining area incorporates a rectangular table and six chairs. The conservatory contains comfortable chairs and a sofa, and opens out onto a paved area at the rear of the property often used for alfresco dining from breakfast through to the evening. A garden table and chairs are provided for the use of guests as well as a barbeque. The garden is good-sized and mainly flat, so perfect for families and dogs.
The downstairs accommodation also includes a cloakroom with toilet and basin and a utility area which has a sink, washer/dryer and a small freezer. There is also a cupboard containing cleaning materials and an iron and ironing board should you be tempted!
Upstairs the large master bedroom has a king-size bed, cheval mirror, wardrobe, chest of drawers and tub chair. The second bedroom has a double bed and small wardrobe and the third bedroom contains two single beds with a large wardrobe/drawer unit. All bedding supplied is 200+ count Egyptian cotton. The bathroom contains a bath with shower, a large corner shower and has two heated towel rails on which to hang your Egyptian cotton towels.
Primrose Cottage is a dog-friendly property with an enclosed garden. There are superb dog walks nearby and many places they can go off the lead, including the National Trust's Trelissick Estate. We accept one well-behaved dog and charge a £20 non-refundable 'dog premium' per week. Therefore please mention that you are bringing your dog when you book. We provide a plastic dog bed so you can put your best friend's own bedding inside. All we require is that your dog does not go upstairs or on the furniture - any additional cleaning required if this rule is broken would have to be taken from the safety deposit.

About this location
The Cornwall region
This region of Cornwall has a huge variety to offer everyone. Within easy reach you can experience the north coast with its stunning cliffs and miles of sandy beaches as well as the south coast's pretty inlets and harbours. Inland there's gorgeous countryside, beautiful gardens and stately homes, some fascinating history and great kids' attractions. This part of Cornwall is known for its excellent local food and has a selection of superb restaurants.
Perranwell Station is a village exactly mid-way between Falmouth and Truro. It has a thriving pub, the Royal Oak, which does excellent food and real ales, and there is also a village shop and post office. Straight from your front door there are various country walks. The village is also famous in Morgan Sports Car circles as it has a garage from which Morgan cars can be hired.
Mylor Harbour is only 20 mins away and there are other small tidal slipways such as Point which is only 10 minutes away. There is parking for a 25-ft boat on the driveway of the cottage.
The cottage is also perfectly positioned for you to explore the area by car or public transport, with buses running through the village and the train station within walking distance. Only 10 minutes' drive from Perranwell Station you will find:
- Falmouth, a bustling and varied town with a wide choice of shops and restaurants. It is built around the port on the huge natural harbour of Carrick Roads and ferries run to nearby Flushing as well as St Mawes. At the southern end is Pendennis Castle and Gyllyngvase Beach.
- Truro, the cathedral city which has good shopping and restaurants, and sometimes an excellent local food market.
- King Harry Ferry, which takes you to the beautiful Roseland Peninsula where, as well as the popular St Mawes, you'll find the picturesque fishing villages of Portscatho and Portloe.
- Trelissick House and Gardens, a National Trust Property with a fabulous 4-mile walk round the dog-friendly estate.
- Loe Beach, a watersports centre with sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, boat hire, etc.
- The Pandora Inn, famous waterside pub which does great food.
Other approximate travelling times from the cottage are as follows:
20 min - Carn Brea, Flambards Theme Park, Poldark Mine
