A beautifully renovated and luxuriously appointed former mine Captain's house which nestles in the very heart of the ancient Cornish village of Goldsithney and yet is only a mile away from Perranuthnoe, one of the best beaches in west Cornwall. Steeped in history, Lamorna House dates back to 1840 and was once one of the principal properties in the village and associated with the Wheal Caroline mine. Today this majestic and truly delightful family home has been completely renovated for the ensuing season and now provides extremely comfortable, spacious and character accommodation for a large family. Decorated throughout in neutral colours of soft yellow and white and furnished in a clean, uncluttered and contemporary style, Lamorna House has a very warm and relaxing feel to it which really does lend itself to the ideal holiday home where you can just kick off your shoes, de-stress and enjoy some much anticipated down time. The house benefits from a very large 50ft rear garden which is laid to lawn and is perfect for that early evening BBQ after a hard day on the beach or for the children to let off even more steam with a football or a cricket set! Furthermore, it has a large rear conservatory which doubles as a dining room where you can literally get together and dine under the stars! The lovely and traditional village of Goldsithney dates back to the early 1100's and is famous for its medieval charter fair which is held every year during August and is certainly worth getting involved with. There are two very good family pubs in the village serving good food together with a well stocked shop which is open all hours and sells everything from fresh pasties to pan scourers! Perranuthnoe beach is but a mile away from the house and even in the height of the season, this stunning crescent shaped beach is hardly ever crowded and is very child friendly. In Perranuthnoe village, the award winning Victoria Inn continues to serve five star quality food at good pub prices under the watchful eye of chef patron Stuart Eddy, a former Raymond Blanc trained chef. Lamorna House is a quality property in a lovely and practical village and will certainly not disappoint so book early!
