SUPERB BEACHSIDE LOCATION. Comprising 2 beautiful purpose- built 2 bedroom apartments overlooking and with direct access to the beach and dunes. Level 3 minute walk to the town centre. On-site parking.. Well behaved dogs welcome. May be suitable for disabled people. Ground floor apt sleeps up to 6, 1st floor apt up to 5. Memory-foam bedding for extra comfort. TV in all bedrooms. Short breaks available. Bed linen provided. Please bring your own towels or they can be provided at nominal extra charge. Electricity costs not included. Free Wi-fi through BT Hotspot for customers of BT Internet, non-BT Internet customers can connect by payment of nominal charge to BT.

The Cornwall region

North Cornwall contains some of the most dramatic scenery in the UK, with powder sand beaches and spectacular cliffs rising out of the Atlantic Ocean. The South West Coast path is a good way to drink in this spectacle. The region is famous for its water sports, especially surfing. The golf course at Perranporth is one of the most challenging in the UK, and for equestrian enthusiasts, you can't beat an early morning ride over the beach. Foodies will enjoy the fresh regional foods that are locally produced. Sea food is fresh and abundant, and of course there is the famous Cornish Pasty.

Perranporth is located just a 10 minute drive from the main A30 trunk road and about a 15 minute drive to Newquay (train station and airport) and to Truro, the commercial centre of Cornwall. The city of Truro is exciting to explore, with specialist shops hidden in the many alleys that run off the main streets.

Perranporth

Perranporth is an old-fashioned English seaside town. It has one of the best beaches in the country, and thanks to an arrangement with the Watering Hole Beach Restaurant and the local parish council , who own the beach, it is kept in very clean condition. The town is also one of the few towns in Cornwall that is flat, making it an ideal destination for people with mobility restrictions.

If you want to eat out you are spoilt for choice, with pubs, takeaways, ice cream parlours,cafes and restaurants. The quality of the local fish and chip shop is famous around Europe, and you can eat a delicious home made fish cake (fish, potatoes and herbs) for 99p, or why not try their panga fish (similar to cod).

The area is also a very popular destination for dog owners. The beach allows dogs throughout the year, although a small restriction applies on a small part of the beach in July and August, when dogs are required to be on a short lead from 10am to 5pm.

We are delighted that you all had another great holiday at the Beach-Apartments Perranporth. Thank you for your appreciation of our free early-check-in facility. We know of no other local holiday provider that is willing to make the effort to provide this facility for the comfort of their guests. After all, who wants to wait until the usual 3 or 4o/c in the afternoon to access the accommodation? We are indebted to your suggestions on how we might improve guests holiday experience. The sofa-bed mattress topper that you recommended has now been installed, and we are also examining ways to increase freezer capacity for larger groups of guests. All guests are asked upon arrival to immediately report any unforeseen problem, no matter how small, that effects the enjoyment of their holiday. This enables us to deal with any problems arising. Sorry that there was a problem operating the living room fire. This is a £1,500 top-of-the range unit. It is a pity that operating problems were not reported, as they would could have been resolved quickly and easily. It takes 45 minutes to heat the hot water tank from cold. For this reason the immersion heater needs to be left switched on for sufficient time to replenish hot water that is used. Alternatively, there is a timer facility to provide automatic water heating. We have experimented with different check-in/out times and now use times that the majority of our guests have told us they prefer. By adopting a 9am check-out, we are able to provide free early access, usually between 11am and midday, to early arriving guests. Those properties that operate 10am check-out are not usually able to provide access to accommodation until mid-afternoon. We fully appreciate that some guests may not prefer this arrangement, so it is clearly advised to all guests prior to their making a booking or payment. In common with other accommodation providers, we reasonably require that all departing guests leave their accommodation in a clean and tidy condition. The overwhelming majority of guests fully co-operate in this. On the very rare occasion that a guest departs leaving a large pile of soiled dishes etc on the kitchen drainer for us to wash/dry, we make a small nominal charge for this extra provided service. This is entirely fair and reasonable. All guests are advised of dog charges prior to booking.For bookings made through the Tripadvisor or Holiday Lettings websites, there is a flat charge of £4 per dog per day. For booking made directly through the Beach-Apartment UK website, one dog is allowed free of charge on condition that owners clean-up any mess made by their dog before departure. Extra dogs are permitted only by arrangement and are charged at £25 per extra dog per visit. On this occasion, one dog was permitted to occupy the accommodation completely free of charge.

We are delighted that you enjoyed your holiday. With regard to towels, most guests are happy to save money by bringing their own, but we are pleased to provide towels upon request at a nominal extra charge. All beds are fitted with orthopaedic mattresses which are replaced after 24 months. Replacement mattresses are due in Jan 2014. Sorry about the noise from children upstairs. If the matter had been reported to us at the time, we could have had a tactful word with the parents. We want all guests to have a wonderful time, and make a point of advising all guests on arrival, that they report any problems, no matter how small, to us immediately, so that we can try to fix any unforeseen problems. If problems are left unreported, we are unaware of them.
