Penpont is a beautifully restored Victorian town house overlooking the bay and beach of Perranporth which can be seen from four of the five bedrooms. Built in 1890, Penpont is a light and airy house providing spacious, modern accommodation for the discerning holidaymaker after recently undergoing complete renovation. The owners have gone to great lengths to refurbish the house to a very high standard ensuring the comfort of their guests. The ground floor flows from room to room encompassing the patio area where al fresco dining is a must, but there to enjoy at any time of day complete with barbecue and outside shower.
The popular surfing beach of Perranporth is only 100 yard walk from the house and the village is a short distance beyond where a choice of shops, pubs and restaurants can be found. Besides surfing, other local activities on offer include kite surfing, horse riding, golf, parachuting and tennis, not to mention the beautiful coastal walks. For a change of scene Holywell Bay Fun Park is close by and with Newquay only 6 miles away there is always something new to see and do. The Atlantic Highway can be joined seven miles inland from Perranporth allowing easy access to other places of interest in Cornwall making Penpont the perfect holiday home for all!

The West Country region
Perranporth is a popular family destination offering a fantastic 3 mile long surfing beach that is Lifeguarded from May until September. Dogs are currently welcome on the beach but must be on a lead in July and August, making this the perfect destination for families with canine companions.
Surfing and kite surfing are keen pastimes here, and with a multitude of surf hire shops, you'll be sure to find all the kit you need to try out whichever appeals to your adventurous side. Sand dunes create the backdrop for this beach, and buried beneath them are the ruins of St Piran's Oratory, so don't dig too deep!
Perranporth is located about 6 miles south-west of Newquay with a population of about 3000. It has many shops to wander about in and gather your holiday souvenirs, as well as good places to eat out or get takeaways. Many of the pubs put on live entertainment over the summer weeks. One to look out for is the Watering Hole which is situated right on the beach.
The village is also known for holding the Lowender Peran Folk Festival each October, which recognises Cornwall's heritage and Celtic links as a vibrant, living tradition that people of all ages and backgrounds can participate in and enjoy.
