The West Country region

Cornwall is the last County at the far South West of England, before you fall off the tip at Land's End! Cornwall is a county full of history and folklore. It has a rich culture and for centuries has attracted vistitors from all over the world for the fabulous coastline. Cornwall has the most amazing sandy beaches you will find anywhere in the world. Surfing is very big here, as is kite surfing, sailing and all manner of extreme sports.

People flock to Cornwall for the beaches and the great outdoor lifestyle, but the county is also very popular with artists. Cornwall is an artists paradise and the place is positively teaming with art galleries.

Of course, everyone loves the lovely Cornish pubs offering great local food, but they also come for the music. Cornwall is a very creative place and you will find live music playing wherever you go.

Edmondscote and Bills Barn are ideally located for all the best that Cornwall has to offer. The fantastic sandy beach at Perranporth, probably one of the best beaches in Cornwall, is less than a mile away and numerous other famous beaches, including Fistral at Newquay are within a 15 minute drive.

The location is perfect for touring Cornwall, with the A30 being only a 7 minute drive away from Penwartha.

Perranporth

Penwartha sits side by side with the village of Bolingey, which is less than a mile from the beach at Perranporth. Perranporth is a traditional seaside town on the North coast of Cornwall, with bucket and spade shops, surf shops, ice cream parlours, restaurants and a supermarket.

The beach at Perranporth is huge so there is plenty of room for everyone. Dog lovers are permitted to bring their dogs onto the beach on leads in July and August but can bring them off lead at all other times of the year.

Closer to home, Bolingey is a very pretty and peaceful village. The centre of the village is the pub, the Bolingey Inn, which offers great beer, good food and a warm welcome. The Bolingey Inn is only a 5 minute walk from Edmondscote and Bill's Barn.
