We stayed at Carnkief Sty last July and it was just perfect. To be honest not sure if I should be writing this review, as we do not want people to know about it, but that would be slightly selfish. T… More

"Exactly as the pictures and description on their website said- better in fact!"

Miles and Caroline were so friendly and helpful. The cottage was fantastic and we enjoyed the views to all sides. Luckily we had a car that suited the lane down to the cottage!

"Gorgeous cottage in a beautiful location, perfect from start to finish."

From the moment we booked Carnkief, I knew it would be an amazing holiday. From the moment we arrived, we realised it would be perfect. The cottage is beautiful, full of touches that make it a home from home, so much care and attention has been spent on it. It is set in a beautiful landscape, you can see for miles, with nothing but rolling hills and wind turbines in the far off distance. We were welcomed with fresh scones, clotted cream and jam and half a dozen fresh eggs from the farms chickens. As soon as we entered the cottage it felt like a weight had been lifted, there is an absolute feeling of calm all around, and you feel allowed to relax (something which we all feel guilty about alot of the time) The bed and bedding was unbelievably comfy, there is parking outside the property, and the living room was spacious, yet cosy. With beaches, shops and plenty to do in Perranporth within 10 minutes drive, yet far enough away to not see another soul all day if you should choose, it's everything we wanted. We were welcomed with our two dogs, which is so nice, as alot of holiday homes are not that friendly towards dogs and the little courtyard in front of the cottage meant that we could rest easy knowing the dogs couldn't be far and were probably lounging in the sunshine! As if the holiday wasn't perfect enough, my partner proposed in the courtyard, under the stars and he said that he was just waiting for the perfect place to do it, he was right. The cottage owners were so pleased for us they even got us a card and a pressie. All in all, this was the best holiday, exactly what we wanted, peace and quiet, time to enjoy each others company and space to breathe in a beautiful setting. We have absolutely no bad words to say about this lovely cottage. We will be booking again. Thank you.xxxxxx

"Fantastic cottage in beautiful setting"

We stayed in Carnkief for a week in August. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful, giving us good pointers on which were the best beaches in the area. The converted sty was beautifully done in a modern style with all the factilities you could need. We had a wonderful holiday. We recommend St Agnes Cove and Perranporth Beach. Lappa Valley Railway for a great day with the little ones.
